Saunders saves our bacon again. Where was our D??

1:58 left in the first. Still 0-0 Although the Irish have probably had way more shots than the Sioux, many have been from distance and easy saves.

I think the Irish have had the better chances, although that last Sioux rush was pretty good.

Saunders has made some great saves. Nice to see us generating some offense too.

Picture quality is really good. But the choppy buffering and poor camera work makes it hard to watch.

Our D had better step up tonight. If we can score against Notre Dame, we have a chance..... Well, we have a chance anyway, but we had better generate some scoring. It would be nice to score a quick one in the first, to set the momentum and shut up the crowd.

We do need to get better at staying out of the box. There were many calls that were proper penalties, and most of those were not necessary. That is on us and we need to improve. I am not too worried about the team. We typically start out slow and build through the season. Since Hak took over, we have been a far better team after the break.

Yes the refs sucked. Yes we were outplayed. I can only wonder what would have happened if 1) The Sioux goal was called a goal, and 2) The 5 minute major was correctly called a 2 minute minor. Momentum is important in a hockey game and these two incidents were a real buzz kill for Sioux momentum. Call it "making excuses" or call it being a realist, it is what I think. As a Sioux fan, I don't need to make excuses for the team. When they get outplayed, I admit it. But I have been sick and tired of bad officiating for years, and it does not seem to be getting any better.

Well that sucked.
