  1. Greyeagle, no problem here. Just giving some crap to you and those who wanted the photos up quickly.
  2. Sorry it took a while to get the photos online. Once the prune juice kicked in, I had to go change my Depends. And since I use a walker, it takes a while to get to and from the bathroom. Fortunately, after popping a double dose of Centrum Silver, I was able to stay awake until well after 10 p.m. and get the job done.
  3. Jeez, some people are never happy! http://siouxsports.com/hockey/galleries/18.htm
  4. Here's a link to some photos of UND's March 20 game against Duluth during the Final Five and the Sioux-Gopher fan game between SiouxSports.com and Pride On Ice held in Minnetonka March 23. If anyone knows the names of all the SiouxSports.com players and wants me to post them with the picture, please let me know.
  5. Yeah, right.

Or a nice tic-tak-toe play on an odd-man rush?
  7. Mory, you and your teammates played an awesome game under the circumstances. I was very impressed with the SiouxSports.com team. You guys must have invoked the ghost of Ralph Engelstad for the game-tying goal because the harder you worked, the luckier you got. Yeah, the last goal was kicked in...by Ralph! Then again, maybe it was all coaching. Not only was I impressed with forecheck's ability to assemble a quality team, but also her willingness to drop F-bombs in the general direction of the POI bench. I'll be posting some pictures of the great event here later tonight.
  8. Yeah, sorry about that. My buddy told me that our seats were in the same spot that we were in two years ago. He'd forgotten that last year, he bought tickets in a different spot on the other side at the opposite end of the arena. I looked for your green 87 Sioux jersey, but never saw you.

As I see it, one major problem with scoring recently has been the transition through the neutral zone. Denver and Duluth both did good jobs of clogging the neutral zone against the Sioux, breaking up odd-man rushes and preventing the forwards from entering the opposition's zone with speed. Also, in the last four games, the Sioux are 2-19 on the power play. The trend of being outplayed and outscored in the third period will also have to end if the Sioux are going to have a shot at the Frozen Four.
  11. Sniff. I am so hurt. It's hurts almost as bad as Greyeagle telling me that he thought I was a lot younger. But that's okay. I expected someone who goes by "Greyeagle" to be a lot older.
  12. I wouldn't go as far as 3031, but I do reserve the right to promote Zach as the WCHA rookie of the year.

  14. I just received this in an e-mail from the Xcel Energy Center. Yipee! That's me. Non-professional all the way.
  15. Yummy. I'm hungry already.
  16. I don't know for certain, but I believe that I will be in section 105 about half way down. I think that's where we sat when I was at the Final Five two years ago. My friend who bought the tickets said we were in the same seats that we had back then.
  17. Purse? I'll have you know that I wear a fanny pack!
  18. I didn't say that. I do, however, think Parise is a better two-way player.
  19. bertibm, Do you know anything about the camera policy at the X? Are fans allowed to bring cameras in? If you don't know, could you check and let me know? I imagine that in light of hostilities in Iraq, they may tighten up restrictions on what can be brought in. I don't want to try to bring in my digital camera if it's not being allowed. Thanks.
  20. YaneA: Gosh, I didn't even know we were quarrelling. Well, for the sake of team unity, I'll admit that you're right. After nearly 22 years of marriage, that's one thing I've learned how to do. I've never been on one of Al's buses, but I've heard stories. I'm really looking forward to this trip. I'm especially looking forward to sitting in the stands with other Sioux fans, wearing my Sioux jersey and cheering on UND. I don't have to act like an unbiased, unemotional, objective observer sitting in the press box, worrying about who gets assists and penalties. It's time to stand up and cheer for North Dakota! The last and only Final Five I've been to was at the Xcel Energy Center two years ago. That's when the Sioux played SCSU for the championship. There weren't many Sioux fans around where we were sitting, but when Travis Roche scored the goal that sent the game into overtime, a male UND student wearing a Sioux jersey like mine came running down our row and gave me a big hug. Somehow, I don't think I'll ever forget that. Thanks for your kind words about my posts. I enjoy reading yours, too.
  21. I think the race is between Parise and Vanek. I'm a homer, of course, but Parise is the best choice. He's proven to be a team leader and a good two-way player. For an 18-year-old freshman, that's remarkable. Parise's presence on the ice has meant more to the Sioux than Vanek's has to the Gophers, who were deep at forward even without him. Remember, it was Lucia who said that the Gophers didn't need a freshman "to carry the mail." It's time for the WCHA to reward UND's rookie postal worker for his outstanding effort.
  22. YaneA, I don't assume that siouxrock is who he says he is. I tried corresponding with him by private messaging to find out more about him. For my trouble, all I got was gibberish and insults. He denied writing things that I knew he'd written. He pretended to not know about things that I know he knew. If you've ever read his posts on the NDSU Bisonville board, you know that he makes UND and Sioux fans look even worse there than he does here. That's why I question whether he is who he says he is. For all I know, he's just a troll on a mission. Probably the best advice I can give anyone about siouxrock is to simply ignore him. I'll try to follow my own advice from now on.
  23. I will be wearing "the shoes" all weekend. If they work on the road as well as they do at home, between your frog and my shoes, the Sioux can't lose. I look forward to meeting you on the bus.
  24. I'll try to find you, dagies. I'll be wearing my black Sioux jersey with the geometric logo. No name or number on the back. Look for an overweight guy, 6 feet tall, gray hair and thick glasses carrying a dark gray Nikon digital camera. If I can find out where my seats are tomorrow, I'll post the information here.
  25. Yes! That's just a couple of blocks from my house.
