Hale missed most of the last two months of 02-03 season and then came back for the Ferris State playoff game. As I recall, his presence didn't make much difference. After that season, he was gone to the Devils.

Anyone who believes in the right of free expression for all in a free society will understand that the issues surrounding the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo are directly related to the First Amendment.

People from towns with French names get around this by refusing to prounounce the name as the French do. I have decades of experience at this.

That's fairly typical ICT reporting. Objectivity isn't its strong suit, especially when it comes to the nicknames issue.

I think that was it. But as I recall, UAA also had a situation with injuries at the time that would have left the team extremely shorthanded.

I know, but I wasn't sure where you started your high-powered career. I thought maybe you were bragging again.

I just wanted to point it out because it might have been the reason that UAA thought the NCAA would do something similar in this case.

Wasn't it a two or three seasons ago that UAA was allowed to spread out some player suspensions because of injuries?
