Trying to win a battle with the team down south on who has had more success is a loser from our end. I suggest that part of this thread gets moved out of here.

Is this the infamous 3and 15 catch? If so, we were right there. I have a different view on this. Things aren’t black and white. Winner or loser. Sometimes players make plays. A db isn’t expected to to be able to stay with someone for long. Maybe our db was told not not let anyone get behind him. Maybe the receiver was supposed to be bumped at the line. Maybe our pass rushers should have gotten to the qb. My recollection is we pressured their qb hence the lane duck pass. Their receiver caught the pass. All I am saying is our db was right there. I don’t think we should be too critical of our d on this play Lame duck pass to about the only place he could put it that our db couldn’t get to. it sucked but I am chalking this play up some bad luck and great play and catch. Looks like a tall receiver against our smaller db fire away

True what if play - game changing play The qb threw a wobbly duck that the receiver went up to catch - made a great catch in fact - jumped up and got it our db was there but screened out and couldn’t do much about it - he had to just wait behind the receiver - I don’t know if we can fault him

For those not there at the game - section 21 where UND fans were was right there at the tunnel where our players came and went to the field. Pretty awesome for the players to acknowledge us as they left at halftime. by the way, first time I experienced it - someone started an U N D chant. I think we now have something to chant at games. Lots of pride at that point - was pretty loud and sustained.

UND’s president and First Lady were at the Friday night social. They made it a point to come around and chat - asked for names. Very nice gesture and fine folks. chaves was there but I didnt talk to him. - I should have - he was ten feet from me.

I am afraid that this is a trap game for us. Hopefully we aren’t looking past Nebraska and toward or next game. If we win then we just do what was expected - we lose and then our fan base turns on us.

I kept my Sioux gear but just won’t buy any new Sioux gear not a big fan of fighting hawks but that is us - certainly won’t be trying to change it nor go back to Sioux maybe too tired to fight but also just accepting - I don’t think it is in UND’s best interest to keep fighting
