Jim... Any of you folks that run these boards do a lot of hard work. I just think the reality is that "smack" is always here.... Whether in a designated forum or not. If it is contained somewhat then it is easier to ignore it and not read it. But... I understand trying to keep it off completely. I am just not sure it is possible. And... The smack certainly seems to be coming from both sides.

I know you guys like to pretend that no smack is allowed on this board, but a smack forum would clean a lot of this crap up and limit it to one place.

Gene Taylor has always had a deal for games in Fargo on the table. This is nothing new. Faison finally realized that to get a game against the Bison, it would have to be in Fargo.

NDSU has all the trump cards right now.and the vast majority of the Bison fan base is totally ambivalent about a game. If the Bison fans cared, it would happen. NDSU needs home games and UND absolutely does not need to be playing the Bison in Fargo repeatedly. So, there is not going to be a game for a long while. Enough on this tired topic.

With the way they are pumping up their 2014 team you would think everyone is back and Bohl made a clone of himself. Can't wait to see them come back down to reality once their team gets it's first loss.
I think everyone is expecting some losses next year. Good grief! That being said, the Bison ought to be tough. Then again......you never know....that's why you play the games.

I am sure if UND was in the playoffs and needed an indoor pratice venue to prepare for the title game, the Fargodome would give them a very reasonable deal if the time was open.

I think this is a very solid hire. I would expect much improvement on defense next season. He is a leader.

RPI is the name of the game now. Both teams need to try and win their conference tourneys and have as high of RPI as possible.

Not disagreeing about BB as a potential hire but Pflu only decent name in the hat. This fan base needs an answer...before SU names their new HC.
Faison should realize this...I would hope. Again after visiting with my Griz connections in Missoula I am all in for Pflu.
I think Pflu was made a scapegoat in MT.

I am not on the Vigen bandwagon. I like CK, and I think he will get it and accept. It will be more money than he can make in WYO and if he keeps winning, a good place from which to move up. If we can't get CK, then Gene better have Scotty Hazelton on speed dial.

I'm just thinking of the expectations you are going to have to live up to in Fargo if you are the new coach...pretty daunting for anyone, even a well-liked assistant is going to face very critical eyes going forward.
Most coaches have pretty good egos. But, the fans won't be overly patient for sure.

No, I think they are scrambling trying to hold Klieman......which will be tough I think. I would think Hazelton has to be tied with Klieman for the #1 shot at it.

Aren't you the guy that always says "follow the money?" Of course it's not an emergency in that it's not a life or death situation, but dollars are at stake. For a business, that could be considered an emergency. Will it be for the State of North Dakota? I have no idea. Maybe not. I just like the idea that Taylor is exploring all options and ideas that might benefit NDSU.
Taylor is very good at calming the masses. Look at the how the Bisonville meltdown mellowed out after Taylor made his statement on Sunday. Think what you want about GT, but he is a calm and deliberate leader that inspires confidence and looks out for NDSU.

What other option did NDSU have? Let Bohl and his staff walk and have Wilbur, Oxbow6, and WYOBISONMAN take over the interim coaching reins on Monday?
