I'm not surprised that the Colts unloaded Wentz. He's not a good fit for anyone it seems. I'm sure that in a year he's either a backup somewhere else or out of the NFL. I've said it before, it was the Bison that made Wentz look good and not the other way around.

Do you really think UND can afford to buy out 2-3 years remaining on the contract? Chaves won't do it, no way.
I'm very curious about what Bubba will be paid under this deal. I'd assume there are pay increases along the way.
I do agree that this contract was extended due to recruiting issues, but I'm still thinking they could have waited.

You still need to win and Wentz can't do it. I'm sure the Wentz jock sniffers over on bisonville think otherwise but Wentz doesn't have what it takes for the NFL. As for Lance, I think he'll do better than Wentz.

There's a story going around that Carson Wentz, the Bison Bust, is going to either be cut or traded. He appears to be done with the Colts and after last season no one should be surprised. Good luck trading him, he's flamed out with two teams so I can sure see Indy just cutting him. I didn't see the game, so I just know what I read here, but this reminds me of the transition years under Jones when UND lost to Mayville State and Southwest Minnesota State. It looks like things have come full circle, unfortunately.

Back in the day I knew a lot of guys that went to the womens basketball games. I don't think it was leadership that got them there, more like hormones. Still it's great to see fans show up.

Is Entz the only Bison coach to get a bonus for winning a title or do the coordinators share in that? I remember hearing once that either Bohl or Kleiman got paid dearly for that last win.

I agree!!! I know it's the off season so there's not much to discuss but the Bison fans can go crow about their success somewhere else.

We take players from other teams, and that's ok? There are a few ways to look at this .... does this kid have talent and he is just buried under some better players? possible. Does he have talent, but just doesn't care for NDSU (school, campus, coaches, city, etc.)? Maybe. Do you take a kid, purely because he was at NDSU? Of course not.
Ultimately, does he have talent? Can he contribute? Is he a good kid? I don't care where a kid is transferring from NDSU, UofM, Alabama .... he needs to be evaluated to see if it makes sense. We have seen D2 talent step up at UND and dominate (Krzanowski, Coe) and we have seen FBS dropdowns come in and do nothing. Every kid is their own player and can have their own contribution. If the coaches think Seth Anderson can step in and help by starting or being a depth guy, I'm for it.
And as much as I can't stand NDSU, and am sick of hearing about their football team, they obviously keep getting something right. (Entz still sucks)
The point I was making was we need quality players. I hate NDSU as much as anyone but we are going to need top notch players. We certainly aren't going to out coach those guys.
I'm sure anyone leaving NDSU with eligibility does so because they got passed on the dept chart. They certainly didn't leave because of the championship ring they got.

Hmmmm, Wentz played like usual yesterday it appears. I didn't see the game but saw the highlights or maybe lowlights. So Philly gets that #1 pick and they still make the playoffs. Indy loses to the worst team in the league and no playoff.
There is no question that it was the Bison that made Wentz look good and not the other way around. To paraphrase what the Bison say "Once a bust always a bust".
