UND was formally invited to join the Big Sky in October of 2010. We've known how the demographics have been changing in that part of the state for quite a while. It would be very disappointing to learn UND hasn't invested significantly more in ad buys and boots on the ground out there in the last couple of years leading up to the "go live" date of Big Sky Conference play. This state isn't big enough to not "do much out west".

As my comment mentioned, IN GENERAL, western North Dakota must become Big Sky country. No excuses.

You realize no state money is used to pay scheduling guarantees to opponents at neither UND nor the ac, right? I don't mind tarnishing the ac, but you're pandering to the lowest, uninformed, common denominator here.

Acknowledging the dangers of generalizing the ac position here, I get their stance on this. For football, they are basking in the spotlight right now. I understand not wanting to share that spotlight with UND. Why even risk allowing Muss going into a living room and talking about a win over the ac? Why allow a UND win to put a charge into the fan base and the marketing of the program? In the national FCS picture, there's a gulf the size of the grand canyon between these two football programs. That gulf would shrink every time the ac steps on the playing field with UND and it isn't a blowout-God forbid a UND win. Sooner or later, UND will win. From this perspective, I don't blame the folks at the ac at all. Now, as stewards of the rivalry I think there's plenty of finger pointing and blame to go around.

I just don't give a s**t anymore. With the direction the ncaa seems to be going in early round matchups, I've no doubt the game is gonna happen-in the playoffs. Even in past years the ac has been matched up vs the BSC. I'm just fine with that. Besides, that will give the road team a bigger ticket allotment for the game anyway.

You are projecting a "LeBron" quality on Travis for using the word "something"? Using the word "something" equates to "me, me, me,"? I may have missed it, but did Travis make his announcement of "something" on a primetime special? A live webcast? Something is just...something. Whatever weight or expectation that gets attached to that word is on the reader. Travis said he would have "something" the next day. And he did...no more, no less. The fact that bisonville posters attached a significance to the word "something" which rose to the level of the Lebron decision, is a direct reflection of their expectations. Unrealistic expectations are the foundation of resentment...as we saw with the irrational reaction on bisonville.

That's as accurate a description as I can think of. They presumably have everything they could want over there, but the least bit of negative news throws them into a tizzy. If the program is bigger than one recruit you'd think re-opening his recruitment for FBS offers would be water off a duck's back. Their snarky treatment of Travis was, even for bisonville, surprising.

Should anyone be surprised by a conversation about how good the ac is/isn't in an FCS playoffs thread in which the ac is the 2x champion?

Williams leaving early has been discussed on bville long before the bohl show. Embarrassingly, many felt he would go.

@CraigHaley: @NDSUAthletics All-America CB Marcus Williams told me after title game he won't be entering the NFL Draft as a junior-eligible player. Maybe because his signing bonus would be unlikely to cover his rent? Williams is a good player. Maybe an NFL player someday. But this BS about leaving early is a bunch of Fargo echo chamber nonsense. You know who leaves early? Projected first rounders, or guys that are desperate to leave for one reason or another. edit: what sycophant from the ac twitter account would even ask that question?
