2 minutes ago, Walsh Hall said:Exactly. To win a title the “key” is to have a competitive team and have the best goalie in 4 games in a row.
Spunar did his part and did really well. Our powerplay went 0-5. They desperately needed a goal to gain some momentum and the PP sh^t the bed.
I’m fairly confident had they beat Wisconsin, they would have beat Denver in a 3-1 score.

Dowd and Kjellberg are better fits then him.
I get the whole UND need to keep North Dakota kids but not all of them should come to UND.
Brad hasn't said anything on the 3 people say are coming so not true until Brad says.
Who are the three?

Get the best players available but next years forward lineup needs some height and muscle w/out Klee and Littler.

With Klee and Littler gone, UND is going to need to add some height and muscle up front.
Littler was an ok player, seemed too slow at times to be productive to play at UND.
Klee was decent. Probably realized he’s not getting top 6 minutes next year, so would be a 3rd to 4th liner. Didn’t think he’d leave.

And I heard we went after him too but he chose Denver.
He made the right decision. Crazy.

Just now, cberkas said:If UND would have got to the middle they could have been in this game and could have beat Denver.
To be fair. Denver beat Michigan. Not sure if UND beats Michigan.

I could see 5 defensemen leaving
They won’t lose 5.

When does the portal officially open up, prior to the frozen four?

This game never, never should have been this close. This whole Merrimack was a hot team is garbage, they were the 8th place team in HE. They need to figure this thing out in the next 45 hours.
Games are close this year with little margin for error. I’ll take a 3-0 win all tournament long tbh.

Who do we not want to play? Duluth and Michigan?
Still can’t believe they got beat 5-1 last night at home. Yikes.

Why do you want to watch that? I'm still trying to forget about that game.
I was at the game. Have never seen a replay of it. Would like to watch it at least once.

I’ve asked before, but does anyone have the Michigan vs. UND 2010 frozen four game recorded?
Would love to watch. Brock Nelson got knocked out and Matt Frattin evidently played the game with a concussion that occurred in the game.

Big Ten needs to do it in a tournament before I believe it
One of the Michigan teams will go on a run.
-
I think right now (watching Michigan vs. Michigan St.) that Michigan St. would handle UND given their pace and style of play.
UND needs to get better as they're struggling with a Duluth team.

The worse rule in hockey. Happens to UND all the time.

I almost rather have Zakreski take a red shirt
He’s an important piece towards a National Title. Makes the team better/more depth. Play him.

Penner was an interesting commit. I believe he’s a few years out, but UND will get a CHL/WHL defenseman or two for next year still.
Not sure what they saw in Penner, not to rip on a kid I’ve never seen live in person.
-
So Potter is out and Bennett Schimek too for ASU? I read somewhere that Schimek was in a non-contact jersey at practice.

Watch Red River get over the hump and beat GFC in state in a few weeks.
If Red River can work on their d-end and their half wall game, they can compete.
Can Tim push his kids to getting better and keeping it simple?
We shall see. GFC the favorite, no question.

Moorhead isn’t winning state this year. Not a chance.

Is the game on NCHC tv tonight?
-
Zellers, Emery in the lineup tomorrow? Minneapolis isn’t that far away. Probably on a flight tonight.

Even without 2 1st rounders that looks like a Dub.
No excuses. Should get one win or a sweep. D-lineup is fine without Keaton, they can play without him. Much different up front missing Cole.

Unless Menghini picks it up in the 2nd half, maybe Menghini gets pushed out next year.
I’m sure he’s a great kid and teammate but at the end of the day, the change of new team didn’t pan out.
We pushed out Ashton Calder.
