This really made the front page this morning? Seems to me that it's a non-story. It's just a group of people shutting the door and brainstorming, which is good. It's like saying the Twins may need a new home by the year 2040 or the Sioux hockey team may need a new place by 2030 (probably not). As for D-IA, I agree with Let'sGoSioux that Grand Forks has to deal with shrinking demographics and a sluggish business climate first.

What exactly is the financial arrangement with REA? Where do the profits/surplus generated by the building go?

It was time for a new look, and they came up with something different. The classic unis were tired and boring. This was long overdue. It's one thing if you have a history of winning like Pittsburgh or Dallas, but with a history of futility like the Vikings have, why not shake it up a bit? Everyone hated the new Broncos/Miami Hurricanes look a few years ago too, now it's mainstream.

I think there would be too much egg on Childress' face if he didn't even make the team. I think he'll be on the roster for opening day, but I also agree with a previous poster that he will be the 3rd quarterback behind Johnson and Jackson. And I think the new road uniforms are a huge improvement.

Is anybody planning on heading to Madison this year? It's their homecoming, and it's looking bleak for hotel rooms. I'm 0-for-the-afternoon in booking a room.

Or not at all (ala Peter Mueller). He's a great recruit, but I'm tempering the enthusiasm. A lot can happen with a 16 year old kid in three years.

I said that to needle and cajole. I know from your posts that you can't stand basketball. WE Fest looks like another stellar line-up this year, with the exception of Keith Urban.

You should consider turning your kids on to basketball, and spend the difference.

Ask all the budgetary questions you want, just don't hijack every thread. Keep it here. If Jim didn't want discourse on the subject, he would've likely banned your rear-end a number of weeks ago.

To me, the whole thing seems like yet another layer of bureaucracy that should be eliminated. What a waste of taxpayer money.
