  1. Try the ignore feature in the meantime.
  2. I agree with that, but the student turnout Saturday night wasn't good. I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to the football team getting their asses handed to them by Michigan St. This was our first trip to UW, and indeed, the extracurricular activities in Madison lived up to the billing. We will be back.
  3. Snag 9-10 points over the next three weeks, for starters.
  4. Some groups of Wisconsin fans apologized to us in the concourse between periods on two seperate occasions. An overwhelming majority of opposing fans are supportive of our nickname and logo, from my experience. This does not include the student sections, of course.
  5. I wouldn't worry myself too much about what the POI crowd thinks. The quality of hockey discussion on that board has diminished in the last year or so to the point of becoming irrelevant. The Glen Mason stuff is about the only thing remotely interesting on there anymore. Personally, I'll stick to SiouxSports, INCH, and USCHO (the discussion forum notwithstanding) for my information.
  6. If the SCSU program continues in this winning direction without better support, Hedberg should leave the program for greener pastures. Maybe that's a year or two down the road.
  7. We will have a group of six there, with four of us in the RV. It will be our first trip to Madison, and should be a road trip for the ages, with a trek up to Lambeau for Vikes-Pack on the agenda for Sunday. So where are you Sioux fans hanging out before the game? State Street Brats? Other? Anyone?
  8. Wow, are the Sioux ever struggling on offense. Thank god it's only November..
  9. Our powerplay continues to SUCK! This has been going on for three or four years now.
  10. Phil Lamoreaux comes up big during that kill!!
  11. Long time comin'! That was 106:47 of scoreless hockey in front of the home folks. Ouch.
  12. This WHL has failure written all over it...hell, the NHL has failure written all over it. Does anyone give a flying @#%$ about the lockout? I don't know anyone who does. College hockey is such a far superior game, it's not even close. The Oilers of the mid-80's, now THAT was hockey!
  13. Finding this balance is what the season hinges on. This is a tired old story that we've heard before. Come March, the answer to the callers question will be a resounding "YES". I've always liked McMahon. He was the first one to step up in a similar fashion at Yale a few seasons ago when Jones went down with what looked like a cheap shot at the time. Leadership worthy of a "C", but I'm sure the players have a reason for voting the way they do. Right on, TH. Gopher "enforcers" philosophy: Hit 'em when they ain't lookin'..better yet, when their back is completely turned. Then board 'em. McMahon called Vanelli's bluff on the face-rub BS. Just wish it had happened when it was 3-0, not 5-0. Thanks, PCM!
  14. KDOG feed is working fine for me.
  15. Mankato Audio
  16. Hey, that is cool. Thanks for the link.
  17. Who are the numbskulls in charge of the audio feed. This happens time and time again!
  18. Did any of the walk-ons this fall actually make the squad? I don't see any on the roster.
  19. Interesting article with former SEC Chairman Levitt about the NHL's financial state. Some pretty damning evidence here against the players union. Guess we'll see what happens, but it looks like the players will have to cave. They have no leverage. Most owners are economically better off with their teams not operating. I have to believe that contraction is a possibility, too. http://www.nhlcbanews.com/transcripts/levi...ript100104.html
  20. We will be in SRO also! The Bar Harbor and Acadia NP areas sound like a must. The Fly the Ralph crew is also headed to Freeport for a day, which sounds interesting too.
  21. You can't be serious. What is this..Grand Forks or Langley?
  22. Thanks.....but I've been in contact with them since July, with nothing but non-commital responses. In REA's defense, I too would give it until the absolute last minute and sell as many seats as possible before releasing the tickets..I guess. Just fishing to see if anyone had inside information.
  23. I spoke with them a couple of weeks ago, too. I got the impression from them that there is a decent chance that it will sell out before Monday the 20th. Regardless, we are headed to Bangor and we'll take our chances.
  24. Does anybody out there know if this promotion has sold out? If not, is the REA still selling attempting to sell the remaining seats, or have the tix been sent back to the U of Maine ticket office, or what? My wife and I are headed out there on our World Perks miles, but the game tickets remain an open issue (i.e. we have none). Right now the plan is to deal with the ticket office in Orono, but if there are unsold tix in the Fly the Ralph ticket block, I'd be keen on snapping up a couple. If anybody has some info, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  25. The Southgate is fun. Dubay and Swygman (local GF radio guy) did a afternoon drive-time remote broadcast from there before Friday's game last season. Was fun shooting the breeze with those guys about the WCHA, Vikings, etc.
