Minnesota was the preseason number one and was picked to finish second in the toughest conference in the country.
The "let's see how they fare when they're the favorites" doesn't cut it.

So the reason so few people showed up in 2001 for the final North Dakota home game was because the students were on spring break. Why didn't people who couldn't usually get into the games buy up those tickets? Did they assume the game would be sold out?
Kinda like....Minnesota sending a fixed amount of tickets to Ferris State, Mercyhurst and North Dakota and people from the Twin Cities assuming the games would be sold out?
Basically this thread was a blown attempt to talk smack about Gopher fans and their allegiance. No harm, no foul. Stick to "seven NCAA titles" and "you needed a North Dakotan to get the NCAA title". Much more effective.

Why does North Dakota currently average 146 fans under the Ralph's listed capacity?
Why did North Dakota draw 4,918 fans for its deciding game vs. Minnesota-Duluth in the first round of the WCHA playoffs in 2001? That team had a great season...Karl Goehring's last home game as a Sioux and only 4,918 show up?

That's strange...last year I kept hearing Sioux fans tell Gopher fans that repeatedly and now Minnesota fans are living in the present and UND fans resort to .... well, who has more championship? That's odd.

If the past two weeks don't prove that he does not deserve to be a Hobey candidate, nothing will. Did Blais sit him against Ferris?
I like how during the final five and they showed the hobey video, his big accomplishment was 20 points in his first six games. They didn't mention five of those games came against Niagara, Princeton, Yale and Canisius.

I thought Hennen did a great job at the Final Five...was very impartial. It would be nice if they rotated the PA job around to others around the league and not just have the Minnesota guy do it every year.

halehale ... Minnesota had the best road record in the WCHA at 9-3-2. They only had the fifth best home record at 6-3-5.
If the home ice is the only reason Minnesota got a number one seed, than all those home games must be the reason UND got into the tournament....16-3-4 at home and 8-7-1 on the road.

That was a quote from the Sioux-Tiger Round 2 thread. I sure hope Goofer fans don't look at that post and generalize about all Sioux fans, especially since the Tigers outscored UND 7-1 when it was 5 on 5.
Every team has fans that make outrageous statements.

I don't think this has anything to do with posting what they are saying verbatim. Aren't you paraphrasing what Dean Blais is saying about Sydney Crosby? Even without direct quotes, you indicate he responded to a question about him and talked about him. At that point, it doesn't matter what the direct quote was.
Am I missing something?

UND had four penalties, UM had three penalties. Both teams got away with a lot. Quit whining and enjoy the win.
