  1. Received the below from Scott at CableOne: "Just spoke with our Tech folks and they told me we don't look at that satellite. Will take some work but hope to provide the games. Scott"
  2. If you have Midcontinent Cable you may want to send a message to mccomm@midco.net to see if the games will be on the Fighting Sioux Sports Network in your area. Or you can call them at 1-800-888-1300. The games will be on MIDCO in Grand Forks.
  3. Got the below response: "Not sure yet. Stay tuned to channel 7" Keep the e-mails going to scott.geston@cableone.net.
  4. If you live in the Fargo area (or want to help us out) you may want to send a message to scott.geston@cableone.net to ask about Sioux hockey coverage this weekend.
  5. Not really. My guess would be that Brandt starts tomorrow.
  6. Sioux score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Had to come back to work after watching the first period. It looked like UND was trying to pick the corners too much. Maybe King's last few games made the sioux think the only way to score is a top corner. Otherwise the penalty kill looked great (almost like the Sioux were on a power play)
  8. Here's the latest from theralph.com UND Men's Hockey against the Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves / Colorado College Tigers at the 2004 WCHA Red Baron Final Five will be available to watch via television, video webcast and satellite. See Details Below. Friday, March 19th @ 2:00 pm. XCEL Energy Center in St. Paul, MN. Television: WDAZ Channel 8 (Grand Forks), WDAY Channel 6 (Fargo). For customers outside of these viewing areas, the game will be aired on Fighting Sioux Sports Network(Bismarck, minot). Video Webcast: Live streaming video on your PC w/ Tim Hennesy. Live Video Webcast Satellite Coordinates: Analog Only, Galaxy 11, Transponder 16. Saturday night games of the 2004 Final Five will be available on Fox Sports Net @ 2:08 or 7:08 pm
  9. Not sure why it won't be on FSSN, but it is being picked up by WDAY in Fargo.
  10. According to Pat Sweeney: "It will be available on satellite, but we don't have coordinates yet." It will be on WDAY in Fargo, but it will not be on FSSN. Not sure why not.
  11. Well, according to Patrick O'Connor, Director of Broadcasting, Minnesota Wild, who is also listed as one of the producers of the games: "It will be shown on WDAZ in Sioux territory. No local coverage in the Twin Cities. cheers, patO" Not sure if that means WDAZ only in Grand Forks; or if WDAY in Fargo or FSSN will also have the game. I have fired off a message to someone at WDAZ; and will update everyone with what I hear back. Other than that, hopefully an announcement will be made soon.
  12. Does anyone know of a radio station in Fargo that will carry tonight's game?
  13. I also sent a message to the WCHA commisioners and Fox Sports but no word yet. Also sent a message to WDAZ asking if they know if anyone has picked up the Friday afternoon broadcast rights. Got a response from Pat Sweeney who said that he doesn't know of anyone picking up the broadcase rights yet. Hopefully WDAZ/WDAY or the Fighting Sioux Sports Network pick up the rights.
  14. I sent the NCAA a note asking why they awarded the broadcasts to Victory Sports, and the below is the response that I got: "Thank you for your email. ESPN owns the syndication rights to the NCAA Division I Men's Hockey Regionals. "ESPN Syndication" (a department at ESPN) will produce all 12 regional games for the second straight year. ESPN Syndication will include a number of regional sports networks, cable affilates and selected over-the-air stations in their station clearance grid. The NCAA broadcast staff is well aware of the situation with Victory Sports and the early lack of cable clearances in Minnesota. The regional hockey games will NOT air on Fox Sports North in 2004. If you don't have Victory Sports, ESPN Syndication would say call your local cable operator and request Victory Sports. One other thing is if you have a DirecTV or Dish Network and have the $12 month "sportspack" (e.g. DirecTV 600s) you will probably get about 6-8 of the 12 regional games on various stations such as NESN, Fox NY, Comcast-DC, Fox Florida and Empire Sports. The NCAA is very pleased that ESPN has choosen to produce these 12 regional hockey games on a syndication platform. If they did not, there would be a good chance that some/most games would go untelevsied in the first round. In late February, a complete clearance grid will be available on www.ncaasports.com click Broadcast Info and then TV Schedule. The clearance grid will undergo some changes once the 16 team field is announced on March 21 and stations can see which actual match-ups are available. I hope this information is helpful."
  15. Just in case you haven't heard, the NCAA regionals are going to be televised on Victory Sports , not Fox Sports North. The below was from the Star Tribune last week. "Victory Sports has acquired the telecast rights to the NCAA Division I men's hockey semifinals and regional finals as well as the NCAA Division I wrestling semifinal and men's lacrosse quarterfinals. With Victory still seeking distribution from the major cable and satellite providers, this could be bad news for Gophers hockey fans."
  16. The voting link is finally fixed and Bo is in 4th and Zack is in 6th PLayer (Team) 1st/2nd/3rd/Total Pts. Ross, Jared (C, Alabama-Huntsville) 1069 71 77 5635 Conner, Chris (F, Michigan Tech) 816 117 78 4509 Lessard, Junior (F, Minnesota-Duluth) 749 94 97 4124 Bochenski, Brandon (F, North Dakota) 506 177 191 3252 Murphy, Colin (LW, Michigan Tech) 132 714 61 2863 Parise, Zach (F, North Dakota) 140 555 237 2602 http://www.hobeybaker.com/vfh/standings_phase2.php Time to start voting everyone.
  17. Just a guess based on where they are listed. Obviously it's not alphabetical. Could be listed according to the final standings from Phase 1; could be random. Either way, vote!
  18. Come on everyone, Bochenski is still listed in 2nd place behind Ross. Although it's hard to tell since the standings button doesn't work. Looks like Ehgoetz from Niagara is now tied with Bo for the national points lead. Make your voice count. http://www.hobeybaker.com/vfh/

  20. Gotta love how the US articles use beat and win; but the Canadian ones use steal and fluke.
  21. Glad to see that the over the air broadcast was as bad as it looked at the arena. Our seats had a view of a big screen near the boards and we kept trying to see the replays; but there were none.
  22. Icing on Canada; 17 seconds left
  23. Time out USA
  24. 30 seconds
