Then why commit to UND in the first place?
Could be plenty of reasons, UND offered early, rink and facilities, he hoped he was ready after one year of college, didn’t know who would draft him and what they want matters now that they are his future employer. His family thought watching games on streaming should be sufficient and they want to go in person. Or any other reasons

The USPS is looking for someone. They only lose $10B+ a year.
Go to mail delivery 2x a week and only to population centers 500,000 and above. Instant profitable. USPS is a service similar to police. Don’t expect them to be making money.

I know its a cliche but if money bought titles the Yankees would win every year, that being said we need to put the program in the best position to win and you can't do that if your not in the NCAA's or FF's

Another Matteo
He was a liability in his own end, with inexperienced d-men the goalies would get shell shock from all the quality scoring chances. He could play center with experienced high end defenders

I'm open minded enough to accept that. He could be the greatest guy and Dean Blais, Herb Brooks, Jack Parker and Mother Theresa incarnate as a coach and human. I just have little to no respect for SCSU and Augustana as either hockey programs or institutions of higher learning. Not trying to poke any bears. Just saying.
I have no hate for the man, I have respect for what he's accomplished. I just don't really respect those schools.
Minnesota blue blood enough for you?

I have also been told a lot but have not said anything just because it could affect the jobs of others. Still hoping Rhett could be wrong and Raboin does have interest.
He is Minnesota’s next head coach, probably in about 12 months time

These are the same players that leave home at age 14 to play AAA hockey in moose jaw or Detroit…selling them on ND is not tough…the school is great and the facilities are even better…good grief.
Or Chicago or Dallas or St Louis or Phoenix or Los Angeles or Denver any NHL team figured out that strong youth programs grew the fan base every time

are we really talking about bringing is a young coach from start-up Augustana as the head coach of a premier hockey program in the nation?
Hope so

Can someone provide the pros for Raboin? I’m definitely in the young, inspiring hire camp, but I don’t know much about him. I get he was on staff for some successful teams at St. Cloud and Minny, but it’s always difficult to know how much impact an assistant has.
He was the primary recruiter at Minn when they were loaded with talent. I was lucky enough to be around him when he was recruiting juniors for Augustana first year team. He knew he wasn’t going to get the same high end talent but he knew what he was looking for and was recruiting a kid that other teams had passed on. The same teams would love to poach same player now. Connects with 18 year olds almost immediately when he talks to them. His current players vouch for him unequivocally.

One should look at injuries with a nuanced eye. Certainly they were a factor in losses to BU, WMU & DU, but not so much against Cornell, BSU & RMU. In the latter games, the reasons for the Ls & ties were more due to poor, inconsistent play than anything. The win against DU with a very depleted roster proves that the earlier losses to Cornell & BSU (also with depleted rosters) were more due to being unprepared/unmotivated than because of injuries.
Or having too many freshman defensemen playing too many minutes early in the year. Part of the reason they are starting to look better is the defenseman are getting better and getting puck out of own zone quicker

ITs just such an important and volatile time to be in this situation with a head coach. If there is a change it has to be done so well that the program comes out of it with a young exciting hire that comes in with a wrecking ball of confidence that it can sway the these kids in the CHL NIL era of which I now dub thee.... the CHILNIL Era.
I don't even think bringing a Hak back would work, with this age of pampered coddled spoiledass kids almost nothing seems to motivate them other than confidence, swagger, and a sense that the NEED to be included in the "thing"
UND has lost confidence and swagger in its culture unfortunately and I'm getting the sense amongst the kids, we aint the "thing" anymore.
And I know we didn't win it all those years but there was a heck of a lot of swagger when the Sioux showed up wheeling around their wheelbarrow full of frozen four nutsack.
and get off his yard
every generation of kids are different, just cause you don’t like it doesn’t matter.

As odd as these forums get, I'm sorry but those fbook groups are the biggest collection of mouth breathing losers I've ever encountered.
Anything for the Sioux, as long as it has a super cheep counterfeit Brien logo on it.
Those people make me consider that maybe just maybe some totalitarian regime that is in charge of the ability to procreate is exactly what's needed in society today, for the good of the human civilization.
Going to away games used to be fun but last couple I've been to, I was actually ashamed to be associated with them by wearing UND stuff.
That fbook page IS the movie Idiocracy of college fan bases.
A few Sioux fans have always made asses of themselves on the road, the large amount of them almost guarantees it

I think UNO slips down a bit, they have a rough schedule the rest of the way. I wouldn’t be surprised with a UNO/UND first round. Your guess as to who will be hosting that series.
UND hosts UNO last series of regular season

Just doing a little math here. A win tonight gives us a 5 point weekend and shoves us all the way up to 25 in the PW. This would put our odds up to about 1 in 30 of making the national tournament. On another note it's looking very likely we end up playing Denver in the first round of the NCHC playoffs, meaning we lose to them 6 times in a season. Has any team had that honor before?
Not saying it’s likely at all, but somehow the young d start figuring it out. It’s possible to host(we are in 4th currently) and get to league tournament. The league as a whole is not good this year with exception of Western Michigan. (No idea what’s going on in Denver).
