I have also seen the team. Shantel is still a joke in practices (and on the road,recruiting), it is not that she is dumb, she just dosent get things. she can't run a practice and has control problems with her staff (that is why they left i was told). she just dosent know her limitations. i guess she was even offered a postion in administration (AD staff member told me) and she turned it down. This is her last year. hopefully the staff will be given more power to overule her or we will have the same outcome as the last years. GO Sioux

I know Rivard only got on a college hockey team because of tryouts so she is dedicated to having them. She is looking for someone like herself. But, there has already been team problems, punishments, and the year has not even started. She really is a poor leader and speaker. hopefully they will fire her before christmas.

I heard that the woosters have been released to Mercyhurst. Where colontino went. A real slap in the face to the UND program. Colontino was the best thing that has happend to this program. He will make any program better I am just sorry that UND is so STUPID to not have made him an Associate here. We just lost the only reason that UND has ever won a game. Shantel is DONE and the team is starting all over. Bunning said the players should leave if they don't like Rivard, because shantel is the coach and he will not fire her. Way to go Bunning!!!!! they are leaving ..... even the staff.

So when the AVATAR calls you crying..... and you watch the games and see her becomming a worse player... And at every practice she is more and more fustrated..... You can talk then... I guess i thaught you were a women's hockey fan... not a womens hockey coach fan..... It is because shes a woman

Nothing great every comes with out adversity. It is so sad to say but if rivard was a man she would have been fired. If this was the mens team the coach would have been fired... St. Cloud and BSU fired their coaches whos records were much better and the coaches are not know for being the bigest iodit in the history of Hockey. Tom Buning needs to change her job title too. The highest paid cheerleader at UND That is truly what she is if she didn't have her staff she would have screwed the team up even more. It is a tragedy that she still has a job and even more of a tragedy that Buning supports her. Who will be the voice of the athletes if even he will not listen What if it were his child on the team....
