I agree. We need someone who KNOWS WOMENS hockey, we don't have time for someone to catchup on all of the nations recruiting, and figure out how women are different. I hate to say it but it will be hard to find someone who wants this program with the right expirence, who is GREAT.

the last four games have been amazing..... the practices have been productive and their finally improving. This weekend is ours. All we need is an amazing coach for next year!

I have to say that the Sioux have made some improvements and seem in better shape. The minnesota game was better. I thaught that there were offensive improvements but I just hope they can pull off one league win.

TRUE I do how ever believe that he did not know the full scale of things and he did make Quite a big move. Hard to believe but if Rivard ACTUALLY was suprised ( as she said) then he was not far behind

I think the poor guy was probably brought here under false pretenses! He figured he got an awesome job and could stay in hockey after being fired from his last job and now he realized that Rivard was almost fired before he came and he moved across the nation to be fired in less than a year! No wonder he doesn

THANKS FOR YOUR SYMPATHY I really do not think UND is not that far behind. They just need direction, the right training and strong leadership. They really do have their moments, I do not blame the girls at all i have seen promise, but they are young and need lots of direction. Miller needs to get with the program if he wants to stay around for next season. All leagues are leveling out, and we could be there in two seasons if we get the right ingredients, girls hockey timing is prime. I was really hoping the Lameroux (sp) twins would want to join us. The new goalie??

OOOO MY!!!!! So much has happened. I was gone, my father passed away for anyone who cares Shantel is finally gone!!!!! sad to see it happen around the holidays but, illogical That she said she was surprised Must be more lost than I thought. Hard change for the girls they really need a leader now hope Miller can help them make some big changes Anyone see the game? I missed it been really busy. How was the game, has anything been different?

We have some solid talent, it just is not developing, and we can only get players who will agree to play here. you can see that the girls are smart on the ice, the team is just not confidant in the small plays and do not seem well prepared.

I though both teams were sloppy! the start looked so hopeful then it all went to crap. Not to mention almost all goals were PPG's it looked like both teams needed to go back to gradeschool. Coaching totally lacking. Same old story, better ending GO GIRLS! THIS WEEKEND WE HAVE IT WRAPPED UP. KEEP UP THE SCORING

FIRST! that is just stupid! I don't claim to be any type of coach, but then again neigther should RIVARD! Hell Ill take the joB! Second we can win the game against maine, finally there is a team with a worse record then ours.

I know enough to get personal giver her the boot The sad truth is that even if things do change she is just not a head coach. I believe there is enough talent on the team to overcome her. Our ability to get good recruits is so limited with her, I have talked to more parents at tournaments who's kids will not even consider this school while she is here. Sadly I agree with them. If she sticks around longer we will have to yet one more year we will have to suffer because we are missing out on top recruits. I have even heard that recruits have lactually laughed when our school contacted them. There is no reason we don't alreay have some olympians here. We are so much better than that.

Only coaches that have a clue keep their connections! and Cornell dosent have our history and rink! THis game was a sad display of girls with talent who are not being taught how to use it and will probably quit again BY next year.. WE ARE WORKING WITH FULL SCHOLARSHIPS! BUT EVEN IF WE WERN'T THAT IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT I SAW YESTERDAY AND TODAY!

I really believe that MSU should be our easiest team to beat in our league. ST. Cloud is having some problems getting off but the new coaching should be a boost. Bemidji has shown a good turn around so far with their new coach. MSU is our shot this year to get some league wins!

Rivard was out of town all week before those games. the assistants ran all the practices that whole week the girls wanted to win for them. it was awesome We just can't get the big players because of rivard I guess she ran some Lake Placid camp and I guess the bigest joke there was her practices and coaching. big suprise there

You would be right if we hadn't been embarrassingly out shot by all the real teams we have played. I would say our goal tending was the only thing kicking some butt!

It sounded very clear to me that goal tending is what saved the sioux. Any comments from people who made it to the game.

Is That you Mr rivard? The Woosters have left because of RIVARD! If you dont believe me call them. They have called the GF paper requesting that they publish the true story about why they left. It has not been done, as you know. If you really do not know what is going on dont tell lies to the rest of us! Thanks sorry that was a little intense!

I realize being positve is nice and all, BUT, Rivard already has screwed things up with her micromanaging mencia. She must have never had a good head coach to work under. When she runs a practice it is alway bad, fustrating, and unorganized. her speaches are a joke, she couldn't motivate a rock to roll down hill. and The new assistants just are not there in the program yet to really stop her. not to metion the new assistant has no expirence except for playing. The New top scorers (the ones who have not yet quit) are not far away from quiting if this is not her last season. The new members are talented but already fustrated with her and her lack of leadership, and her inability to see what is going on in her enviroment. No matter how the team does this season, if BUning does not get rid of her God help all sioux fans. These Women deserve better!
