oh i am all for him getting better and showing the promise he showed before he came to UND, and even last year. somethin jut isnt clickin for him right now, and i hope that changes. i wasnt sayin i want to see him cut, i was just sayin its always a possibility. or, he could just chillin on the bench haha. but i dont think that would happen, not with the shortage of d-men we have this year. he IS a good player, just in a slump. i know im not the only one who doesnt think he is performing well right now if he gets better, GREAT! i want him to.
-
do you seriously think Finley will not be at UND next year? its not possible he is good enough, or will be good enough, to even go to the AHL, much less NHL, next season, unless ALOT changes. of course, Hak could cut him if he keeps goin down the drain like this, and then he WOULD be gone.....

Briggs = "Choke" Artist although the more i think about it, you would have to be relatively good to choke at all

good article on Mike Commodore stepping up this season for Carolina: Commodore Article "After a strong playoff performance, Commodore anticipated there would be a larger role and larger expectations heaped upon him this fall." "With two assists Friday in the Hurricanes' 5-1 win over Boston, Commodore has matched his regular-season points total (13) from 2005-06." "When he gets healthy, that's who I want to play with.....I love the way he plays," [bret] Hedican said. "He's one of the best partners I've had. We understood what each other wanted in the defensive zone."

jason blake gets an assist for NY Islanders

gosh its about freakin time. maybe now the Blackhawks will start winning a game or 2, here and there once they get toews, and porter helping out bochenski, assuming neither toews or porter get traded to another team first, they will have a formidable team. yes they have good players right now, but they need fillers.people who will actually help the team out and not just be standouts. a team of standouts doesnt get anythgin done. a team with a few standouts and just as many, of not more, gets alot done. thats my opinion

yeah it comes up as an online newspaper page, but with no article

no kidding. especially considering how badly they are doing so far (7-12-2, 16 points) their most productive player has only 17 points, which is half of the NHL points leader's overlal points. the most goals scored by one player is 7, by martin havlat, and considering he has only PLAYED 7 games, the rest of the team jsut sucks. they NEED production badly. they know bochenski has played in the NHL last year. he should be called up. i agree. i would assume it wont be too long.

talked to JPar tonight about his adjustment movin up to the AHL..... "actually, i think its more of an adjustment to the team and the players and the system as opposed to the actaul skill level. having said that, the guys are obviously better and faster and stronger and everything but you are also playing with players that are better too. I feel pretty comfortable with my game and the success that it brings so it wasnt that much of an adjustment probably cause i was prepared for it" asked him, cautiously lol, about his 1st game and game tonight: "i think i played very well tonight, the other game wasnt good but tonight we ewre outshot 47-19 and they had 4 PP goals so there are no thorns in my side. we play 80 games a season so im not too concerned about things this early" i'll be honest, i was quick to questin what happened with his performance, but didnt think about the overall facts. yeah he gave up 5 goals, but 4 were on powerplays, and that was of 47 shots. so yeah, he did VERY well tonight. sucks that the rest of his team did nothing :-P too bad i caught him real late, he had to get to bed cause of a game tomorrow afternoon, so i didnt tlak to him too long. but, hey, its better than nuthin. not much, but hope ya'll enjoy
-
good point. thats still a .894 sv % for the night. relatively good when you think that he gave up 5 goals. overall even so, his overall SV % is still .916, which is still higher than Doyle's, which is still .900, and JPar's GAA (2.96 is still only .07 above Doyle's (2.89)
-
in other news, Jordan Parise gives up 5 goals in Albany River Rats 5-0 shutout of Lowell Devils his 2 losses in the 6 games he has played were games he gave up 6 and 5 goals. thats alot of goals. hurts a GAA real bad

what's sad is that i was scared to come home from a night out with the fiance and see that the Sioux lost AGAIN in hockey, and honestly, after how they have been playin lately, i wouldnt have been surprised. i got a scare, cause when i saw 5-2 i misread the post that saud "5-2 CC" scores and though it said "5-2 CC. scores...." so i thought we got killed even worse tonight. thank god i was wrong. FINALLY a win for UND. we are still gonna be way down on the WCHA points i believe, and prolly drop a spot or 2 in the national polls. but once again, ITS NOVEMBER. i'll worry if this overall act as of late isnt cleaned up by late march.
