  1. Here's a list of college hockey coaches and the length of time it took them to win a national title, Jerry York (winniest college hockey coach of all time): 7 years to win a championship at BC Bob Johnson: 7 years at Wisconsin George Gwozdecky: 10 years at DU Red Berenson: 13 years at Michigan Don Lucia: 9 years if you count his tenure at CC and Minnesota These are considered some of the best college hockey coaches of all time.
  2. The NTDP released their evaluation camp roster for the '94 birthdates, which takes place from March 26-30. Here it is, http://collegehockey247.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1062468
  3. One of the other schools was St. Cloud and I'm not sure what the other one is.
  4. The HS Elite League takes place in Fargo and Eau Claire this weekend, with Gothberg and Nelson being in Fargo. Here is the schedule and stats, http://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.ngin.com/at...hedule_2009.xls http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/standi...p;seasonid=4172
  5. He was rated as an A prospect by CSS's 2010 watch list. I saw him play with Shattuck last year and he was one of the top 3 fowards on the team.
  6. I was informed that Shattuck St. Mary's senior Jason Clark was here last night and that UND is one of three schools that he is looking at.
  7. No I haven't, I'm way to busy to make it down there for any games. I post about the league on a weekly basis to keep fans updated and if it's coming to their local area, they know about it.
  8. I was down at the rink today looking at the new authentics and up close they look much better than in the images. I'm still not the biggest fan of the whites, but the greens look nice.
  9. The city of Denver doesn't give a !@#$ about DU Hockey unless they're good (and even that's questionable at times). When we've been there in the past half the arena is Sioux fans.
  10. The NAHL and NAHL Future Prospects Showcases are taking place in Blaine this weekend. Keep in mind that the NTDP 17U team is there which has a few players on it that we're recruiting. Here are the schedules, NAHL http://www.nahlshowcase.com/schedule.cfm Future Prospects http://www.nahlfutureprospects.com/schedule/
  11. I will admit, this image looks much better than the image on Schlossman's blog. Still not the biggest fan, but not as worse as what I originally thought.
  12. I agree with you here. I like the striping, but everything else about the jerseys sucks. The Sioux logo and print is to small, the white on white ND is bad on the home jerseys, and the green cuffs on the home jerseys don't make it look old school at all. These look like little kids jerseys that you would buy at K-Mart.
  13. The 2009 Upper Midwest High School Elite League season starts tonight with Team Northwest playing Team Southwest at 7 p.m. at New Hope Ice Arena. I will post the rest of the rosters and schedule later this week, but here are tonights rosters, as you'll see there are already a number of D1 players in tonights game, Team Northwest, http://www.hselitehockey.com/roster/show/11526 Team Southwest, http://www.hselitehockey.com/roster/show/11524
  14. The individual that posted that has no idea of what he is talking about. Gregoire changed his commitment because he wanted to be closer to home and the St. Clair situation is a matter of a 14 year old making a decision to early. Just because a player switches his commitment to another school doesn't mean that the coaches were not honoring the "gentlemen's agreement".
  15. The NTDP 17U team released their roster today, many of these names have been known for awhile though, here it is, http://usahockey.cachefly.net/NTDP/0910_U17Roster.pdf
  16. He's a defensive minded defenseman, but the numbers also don't tell the whole story. From I understand there were some conflicts between the parties (player, dad, and coach) regarding playing time and as a result wasn't given a fair opportunity. I think he's playing in Waterloo this year but I'm not positive.
  17. I was informed that we're interested in Blake Thompson, who played for Sioux Falls in the USHL last year. I'm not sure as to the degree of interest though.
  18. If he's contemplating hanging up the skates, then this is probably more of a personal issue beyond his playing ability or development.
  19. The 2009 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament starts tommorow, in case you forgot this was the team that was selected after the Select 16 National Festival. The U.S. team defeated Germany in an exhibition yesterday and will play their first game against Slovakia tommorow. Schedule, http://www.usahockey.com//Template_Usahock...05&ID=27452 Roster, http://usahockey.cachefly.net/Media/071609...electRoster.doc
  20. For anyone in the Chicago area that is interested, the USA Hockey Olympic Men's Orientation Camp is on Monday and Tuesday this week. The camp is open to the public and takes place at the Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, Illinois. Schedule, http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahocke...5&id=260044 Group 1 Roster, http://usahockey.cachefly.net/Media/073009...pRosterGrp1.doc Group 2 Roster, http://usahockey.cachefly.net/Media/073009...pRosterGrp2.doc
  21. The U.S. lost to Sweden 9-2 in the bronze medal game this morning at the Ivan Hlinka, finishing in fourth place for the tournament. Parks didn't have any points this morning but overall had a pretty good tournament.
  22. Kristo's goals in the Russian games were put on USA Hockey's website if anyone wants to watch them, Game 1: Last highlight in the video http://usahockey.cachefly.net/Media/NJEC/V...game1player.swf Game 2: Second highlight in the video http://usahockey.cachefly.net/Media/NJEC/V...game2player.swf
  23. The U.S. lost their first game at the Ivan Hlinka today, falling 4-3 to Russia and Parks finishing with one goal. http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahocke...5&id=267016
