  1. Quick Question for anyone out there...I just bought tickets on Ebay for my girlfriend and I for the Frozen Four and was wondering what the face value of the tickets cost anybody out there. I can't see a price on any tickets that I try to look up. I paid $320 for 2 tickets which includes shipping. Anyone?

Face value is $155 per ticket. So you paid face + $10 for shipping.

  2. are you talking the last goal ?

I never did get to see a replay of it - does anyone have it ? - But wheeler dealer could never make that shot again if he tried 1000 times - it was a fluke - a falling down (maybe sliding on the ice) chip at the puck, at a bad angle, that more than likely fluttered or curved some what to get in - I know Lammy is weak high glove side at times - But I can't blame him on that one - I was there - Granted up in the nose bleed section.

& like you said he made some unreal saves & he did, many point blank shots - were lucky that we were in the game to go to OT

I think he is refering to the Johnson goal

  3. Sorry, but a lot of us can't resist talking about this probable rematch. I just wanted to see what a few of the Gopher fans had to say about their goaltending for the regional.

Tough not to look ahead (a little), after that amazing game Saturday night...........wish the rematch wouldn't happen till St. Louis though :silly:

  4. I'm in complete agreement. There are always a few bad fans from every school that ruin the reputation for everyone else. I know we have some idiot fans, along with the goofers, along with every other WCHA team. Unfortunately, the drunk ones usually wouldn't heed some good advice if it was given to them anyway. On an interesting side note... was it only the Sioux dumba$$es that got kicked out, or did the goofer boneheads get booted also?

Fans from both teams got the boot.......and ALL of them deserved it !!

Root hard and loud, but be civil. It only a hockey game for crying out loud.

  5. Who's it gonna be in goal on Sat for you guys? Does Lucia flip a coin?

Don't give me that "who's best prepared by looking good in practice" either, because we all know it comes down to who can handle the pressure the best when it's all on the line at this time of year.

Who do you want to see, who can win it for you?

Normal rotation had been Briggs - Frazee........don't expect that will change this week-end. Especially after the way Frazee played on Saturday.

  6. The opinion that it does not matter is a minority opinion and is not reflective of every Sioux fan any more than it is for any Gophers fan. Please do not generalize based upon comments of a few. It was very important for the Sioux this year, because if the Sioux had won, they probably end up a No. 7 and get shipped out to Clarkson's bracket. That would have been a win/win for both UM and UND. However, I understand why Minnesota came to play this year--they wanted to build momentum for the tournament so that they did not have a repeat of last year, they wanted to prove that the sweep earlier by the Sioux was not a reflection of what they are capable of, and they were tired of hearing from everyone in the media that the Sioux were the better team. However, be careful what you wish for---neither UND nor Michigan are going to be pushovers. Although I admittedly have a WCHA bias, I truly believe that Minnesota and UND are 2 of the top 3 or 4 teams in the country right now along with BC and possibly Notre Dame. New Hampshire and Michigan are probably next.

I wish they were in different regions............if we could get a repeat of the type of game played on Saturday, in the Frozen Four, in front of a national audiance, would be big win for all of NCAA hockey.

  7. You won the WCHA. woopie. who cares? no one for the next few weeks. all anyone will care about is the NC.

You, and others have spent the last year bashing the Gophers for playing the Final 5 games 'as if they don't matter'

Now that they win it, you're one the one saying it doesn't matter. A little consistancy please...........

  8. Ummm, best record in the NCAA? Only if you put qualifications on it. As for trolling, nothing I said was rude. I made an honest comment. I like this board because of the pasion and different takes on things, but there's always more bashing of opposing coaches, players, fans, refs, you name it, than talking up your own team. GPL has its bashing, but nothing comes close to the bashing here. I see Lucia rips hourl;y on here. Hakstol's named is hardly mentioned on GPL.

Oh, and jersery popping is pying tribute to the treasured M over the player who is wearing it. I have no problem with showing pride in your team/school.

The jersey pop is showing off.......no matter who does it, no matter what the circumstance.

  9. I wear my Sioux Jersey with pride to the Sioux game on Friday, and my Holy Cross Jersey with pride to the Gopher game on Friday, because I respect the way that both programs overachieve. At least if I get sucker punched, I'll know why. Thanks for the info... :D

    Gopher Pride...

DO NOT lump this moron in with ANY real Gopher fan.............believe me, I would the first person hauling this jack-a$$ out of the X by his ankles.

Wear what you want, cheer for who you want...........that's what it's all about. Just be civil :)

  10. I get cornfused sometimes

The WCHA / McNaughton Cup - I thought that got you in the F5 is that the F4 ?

The McNaughton Cup gets you exactly nowhere.

The only teams that get into the F5 are the teams that win 2 games this week-end.

The team that wins the F5 (and other league championships) get an "autobid" into the NCAA tourny. In the history of the F5, this has not mattered, as every team that has won the F5, was already in the NCAA tourny by virtue of their standing in the Pairwise. That will hold true this year as well, unless CC, or one of the teams in the bottom 5 spots of the WCHA wins the F5.

  11. My only hope is that Denver doesn't make the tourney and we get sent there or Michigan pairs up with us at their rink (as we all know how that has worked out in the past). I am not sure of the possible outcomes, but I would love for us to be a #2 AND get sent out East. Wishful thinking! ;(

I don't think it's very likely that UND will sent sent to Denver. I would be a stretch for UND to become a 1 seed, and also a strech for Denver to fall to a 4 seed. So UND stays a 2 and Denver a 3, they can not be in same region, since the NCAA will not pair conference opponents against each other in the first round. In this scenerio, UND would likely be sent east.

  12. Sorry, but unless that is Grand Rapids MN, I think there is no way a Michigan team isn't there. And I'll take Sacred heart and the points...

Agreed.......If that was how things shook out, Michigan would get moved into that bracket, and UND shipped out east.

  13. They should have not been distributed once the error was brought to the authorities attention and I dare say that they would not have been if the brown and yellow was labeled as MN Tech. But it was just little ole' ND and 95% of the folks in the X wouldn't care - right?

So then......it's the USHERS fault !! :silly:

Are you always this cranky and short sighted...or did the boss yell at you today ??
