Sorry for your loss. Sounds like the girls were very competetive with MSU. They scored 2 even strength goals, all MSU's goals were PP (3-10) except for the empty netter. We were 0-9 on the power play. We just need to get that clicking.

Your right. Shantel has been reassigned to other duties for the balance of the season. All the best to Shantel and her family. Very tough any time of year, let alone Christmas. The girls put in a good effort today. No shame in playing the #4 team in the nation and losing 1-0.

The talent was not lacking this weekend. They proved that by beating and tying a team with Rutledge in goal and Riggs on offense. The girls played with a lot of heart. Comments about lack of talent and not being "D1 athletes" are kind of low blows. But then again maybe that sort of talk motivates them to prove people wrong.

Well done ladies!! You played awesome this weekend. Take care of all those bruises and aches this week. Take it hard to Minnesota.

I tend to agree. There is talent on this team. I question the coaching staff. No comments from the coaching staff in the media. No plans to right the ship. The fan support was bad today and IMHO, there were more SCSU fans than UND fans. IMHO, the staff is coasting into the rest of the season. Maybe UND/ AD needs to send a message.

Let's hope the girl's new found scoring touch continues into Niagara.

It has been a very tough schedule so far for a very young team. Would have hoped that Maine would have ended better. Interesting to see UCONN come in with a near perfect record and lose 5-1 and 2-0 to Ohio State.It truly is a tough conference. Also interesting to see the Mavericks down UMD. Need to see a big effort down the home stretch to Christmas.

I am optimistic that this weekend we will get some WCHA points. Go Sioux!

Trust me Scotty Bowman would not help against Ohio or Minnesota. We might get some points off Bemidji. St. Cloud will be tough.

I am not sure a coaching change would have a huge impact on the recruiting process and go far in attracting new recruits. Let's be honest the only reason UND has a shot at the Lamoureux sisters is because it is their home town. In an article in the Grand Forks Herald they state that they would like to go to a program that has a shot at a national title. I am sure that Harvard who just destroyed RPI 11-0 will be calling. A large part of the top talent in North America is from the east and most girls prefer to be closer to home than the midwest. A Harvard education would carry more weight than an UND one. Yes the Ralph is a amazing facility but that carry's more weight for the men's side because a bulk of the talent are going to the NHL. For those people a Harvard degree is less important. Don't get me wrong I am hoping the Lamoureux's go to UND. Let's just say they will have ton's of choices.

Yeah tough conference start. Wonder how it would have been if they had of started off the season against Bemidji, St. Cloud and Ohio State? Hope the girl's confidence is not too badly shaken.
