Agree, but the conversation right now is, "the Gophs did it, now it's our time to take care of business." Another new tape job, an extra check of the skates, the Sioux will be ready just having seen this result...

If anything, I think this is a wake-up call and should make the Sioux a little more focused heading into tonights game. There is nothing that gets the butterflies going more than watching a game before yours and seeing something happen that shouldn't be...this result this afternoon will result in a more intense effort from the Sioux tonight...

Maybe I just don't get it? I've been a Sioux fan for thirty years and have seen more gophers thrown on the ice in Grand Forks than most people have ever seen gophers. What I don't understand is the desire to see the Gophers lose today...why? Unless you are all chicken sh#t, which I don't believe to be the case, why would you not want to go through the Gophers in winning #8? I just don't get it...beating the Gophers in the Region Finals would be so much more rewarding than beating ANYONE else...the only thing better would be beating the Gophs in the Frozen Four Finals. Would someone please explain...

Honestly, I would like to see the Goofs tie this thing...and then lose in overtime and get jersey popped on a goal by one of the twelve kids from MN the Goofs didn't like...

A classic, I guess, but candidly I think a classic requires a top-notch effort from both teams participating (ie, 2006 Rose Bowl). I feel this was a case of the Sioux not playing as well as they could and have been playing and the Gophers ready to play. I love Hak and the work he has done, however, I think Lucifer did a better job of getting ALL of his guys ready to play.

I'd have to believe there is some judgment as if there weren't they wouldn't leave the "bonus" feature on there...quite honestly I don't know the answer to this, other than it was what I felt after watching a bunch of piss-poor hockey (and attendance) at other conference championships...what a joke if the WCHA only gets three teams...what a joke!

Just got to thinking...during the game I was drinking Shiner Bock...for those of you that don't know Shiner Bock is a brown bottle with a golden yellow label that is very reminiscent of a Gopher jersey. Then I threw in a "rally dip" and the can of snuff was Red and White (went cheap with the Grizz), but both teams won (UMN and Wisco). I tried to cover the beer bottle with a green and white coozie but it was too late... From now on it is Rolling Rock and Kodiak all the way for me...no messing with karma...

Being a sore loser is just as classless...the Gophers outplayed the Sioux with the exception being between the pipes...get over it...it's winning the last game of the year that matters...I like the Sioux' chances...

Preface: I am a die-hard Sioux Hockey Fan. Observation #1: The Gophers showed why they were the best team in college hockey tonight. Have fun playing as the favorite... Observation #2: The Sioux deserve a #2...I wouldn't be surprised if they get one for reasons un-Pairwise related. Observation #3: Doug Woog, for the first time in my life, was pretty good and incredibly un-biased on color tonight. Observation #4: A lot of you posting on this site concern me...
