I think that siouxforce19 explained it pretty well actually. You can't explain it...it is the feeling that you get at exhibition, it is the family that you become part of. To try to explain what it is about the smells of the Ralph that make it the Ralph. People may think that I am insane, but that is ok.

Ok, I was just wondering. To me, it just looks out of place because the green on the jersey and the green on the helmet didn't seem to match. I don't think the color of the helmet sign would necessarily matter...you can always redo a sign.
-
Ok, the second picture looks better. I really like them...but would they look better with a black helmet? The green helmet just looks out of place to me.

Yep, it wasn't me who listed the goalies. I agree with you that Dell was not an absolute stud with us, nor do I think that he would jump from the ECHL to the NHL right away. He does have puck control issues, but I have seen goalies with worse problems wind up in the AHL after a few seasons or maybe not..it entirely depends on what a team sees.

Sorry to just get back to you, but seriously? There are 486 players on that list...do you really think that I know the careers of all of them? What little research I had time to do...at least 7 of them did and that is leaving off in the B's. Which either way, your original statement said that there was no chance of going anywhere. Unless I quoted you wrong? The point of my original post was to say that there is a CHANCE of going somewhere else. Is it small? Yes. Does Dell have a chance? Yes. Do I think it is a huge chance? No. However, even a 2-5% chance is a chance.
-
I wouldn't necessarily say that there is no shot to go further....a very small chance...yes. The ECHL's website has a list of players who have played in the ECHL and in the NHL. http://www.echl.com/alumni-s12397

Rainforest Cafe in the MOA is pretty cool....I would just go before or after the lunch rush, you wait forever if you don't. If your kids like trying things, Highland Grill in St. Paul on the corner of Ford Parkway and Cleveland Ave is really good. Downtown MPLS has an Old Spaghetti Factory. For adults, the Shout House (downtown MPLS) is fun. That is all that I can think of for now...but I will let you know if I think of more.

NCAA Hockey Scores and Updates (Non-Sioux)

Did you not get the point of the open-mouthed smiley? Mariucci was not being serious. It was a small "jab" at UND fans that was not meant to be anything more than that. Most Gopher fans get that things like that happen to kids! ....Yes, I did just defend a Gopher fan! -
My thoughts are with her friends and family as well as those of the other victims, including those who survived. I can not imagine what they are all going through right now.

I like this idea.

Those shouldn't be affected much, as I believe that is a MidCo Channel. The broadcasts on Fox College Sports will be affected because they will no longer be picked up.

I had heard about that West Virginia guy. It is ridiculous.

Yeah, in oil country...there is no such thing as "North Dakota safe" anymore. Both jails in Minot are pretty close to full by the end of every week. Not sure about Williston at the moment, because I haven't heard lately.

One of the better things about the Target Center is that it is on the train line. So, you stay in Bloomington (cheaper?) and take the train.

One last thing and then I promise that I will go back on topic here. The school might actually suffer because the same people who wouldn't play us in sports would most likely not compete against us in academic competitions. When you compete in those, the departments raise awareness for themselves. Also, some people don't want to get themselves embroiled in a controversy, so faculty members and/or staff members could potentially stay away from UND because of that. Now, my apologies to the Sicatoka and the rest of the moderation team...Back on topic, I would say for now that Luke is going to do what Luke says he is going to do. None of us will know different until he decides different and states different.

ahh, that would make sense. Thank you, I was very confused when I couldn't find it.

I know, but still! HAHA! Good Point

Perhaps I am missing it, but who was expelled? The last news that I heard and can find on that QB was that he was being allowed to practice. He played in their spring game. Nate Montana did just transfer out of there, but from what I can find...they will still have 5 quarterbacks in the fall with one of them being a freshman.

It's summer...you arent supposed to have to think during the summer.

Should the nickel trophy be on the line for future games?
siouxforeverbaby replied to CMSioux's topic in Football
I actually, I believe I was the one that said that not 82SiouxGuy. I apologize for stating reasons that I know of where cost is a factor for musuems. Again, as 82SiouxGuy pointed out, a musuem is not just going to stick it up on the wall. AND again, I stated that it was my opinion and that I had reasons for my opinion and then gave you those reasons. Please, do not call me stupid or ridiculous for having those reasons. Which yes, is what you are doing. But you know what, I am done arguing with you about it because you won't ever listen. My opinion which is what the thread was asking for was stated. You have both disagreed with me and attacked me for it. Shall we let others chime in with their opinion now? -

1. I went to school to study archival work in materials and perservation. So, DO NOT tell me that I sound stupid for stating cost. 2. It is not as simple as putting up a sign next to a display case. 3. You can not just stick a display case up and call it good. 4. Someone has to catalog it into the museum's system and put the display case together making sure that it fits archival quality. So, you have the cost of paying them to do so and the cost of building a display case that dust can not enter and depending upon what else you put in the display case, it may have to be uv protected. 5. You also are paying that person to type up that simple little sign. 6. If you do not have anything that it goes with, you need something else. You can not just stick the Nickel Trophy in with materials from the Lewis and Clark expedition. 7. Then, they have tours of the museum. So, you either need to pay someone to walk around talking about it or you are paying someone create a cd or playaway so that people can do a walking tour. 8. Then, you have to go into the cost of keeping up the collection. 9. Who cares? Archivists? Museum curators? People who would like the collection to be there for years down the road? 10. Yes, the state has money. That doesn't mean that it is earmarked for that. There is a process that they would have to go through in order to spend the money for the museum. Which again, takes time and money. 11. I could go on, but chances are you have stopped reading by now so I won't. I have stated that was my opinion, you can disagree with it if you want. But there are reasonings behind my opinion, so maybe you could ask instead of just calling me stupid. -

I can give you one reason on why it shouldn't be in a museum. COST. There would have to be other stuff in the collection that relates to that, if you don't have that....you have to obtain it. If there is not room or the room available is not suited to displaying that collection, you must remodel. Then, you go into the cost of preserving and conserving it. The Nickel Trophy while not in an excellent archival place for it, is currently being protected as much as possible for the people that have it. -
not as recent as Matt Greene and Brian Lee, but Mike Commodore was up pretty consistently once he was traded to Tampa.

He wasn't even talking about your post. He quoted another person with a post that had a hint of sarcasm to it. For the record, I don't think it should be in a museum because it was never about EVERYONE getting to enjoy it all of the time. It was about the winning team getting to enjoy it. NDSU knew that they would probably never see it again after they lost that last game. And right now, the only people that enjoy it are the 5 people that keep it safe. -
Most of those, I believe would have been Hakstol recruits. Bina started in 2003, while Hakstol was still Associate Head Coach and so would have committed before then. Berry was not associate until around 2004.
