  1. PCM: Considering that I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, your transcipts of the coaches' show are my only access to that information. I read them religiously and would be deeply disappointed if you discontinued posting them. I hope you ignore the hoopla that the "Road Kill" Trolls are trying to stir up and will continue to provide these transcripts. They are much appreciated! Go Sioux!
  2. Here's an article about Lammy in our paper today: http://www.journalstar.com/sports.php?story_id=17712
  3. Lamoureux has played extremely well lately. He has outduled both Layne Sedevie (3-2 Lincoln win on January 11th) and Jordan Parise (3-0 Lincoln win on January 18th) in consecutive starts. If he continues playing the way he has, I would not be surprised if he was named the USHL goaltender of the month for January.

    Porter

Here's an article from here in Lincoln about Porter's recent surge: http://www.journalstar.com/sports.php?story_id=13695
  5. [i did read or hear on the internet he moved from 3rd to the 2nd line.] I posted earlier that he has recently been moved up to Lincoln's 2nd line. He is now reaping the rewards having better-skilled linemates. He did have a great centering pass that set-up Lincoln's first goal and Lamoureaux stopped all five shots in the shootout on Saturday night.
  6. Layne Sedevie was named USHL Goaltender of the month for December http://www.ushl.com/ushl0203/pr/gotm0107.htm Also, here's a nice article on Ryan Potulny (even though he's chosen to follow his brother's path to the dark side). http://www.ushl.com/ushl0203/pr/0107ushl.htm
  7. Chris Porter has recently been moved up to Lincoln's second line (with Dan Irmen and John Snowden) and his +/- stats have improved because of it. He seems to have found his niche on that line as a grinder with Snowden being the sniper and Irmen the playmaker.
  8. Is Blais alienating some of the GF kids? Lincoln has been a breeding ground for future Sioux players, including many from the Grand Forks area. So when I see GF kids that are not only quality hockey players, but quality people like Grant and Ryan Potulny and Danny Irmen committing to Minnesota, it makes me wonder what's going on. With the concern that I've heard over the Sioux's goaltending situation this year, it only makes sense to recruit the best goaltender out there. Blais will be hard-pressed to find anybody better than Ziegelmann right now and he grew up in GF!
  9. Any word on whether Blais is going after hometown boy, Nate Ziegelmann?? He's been standing on his head the past few weeks and the following article from here in Lincoln only mentions CC and UMD as having contacted him yet. http://www.journalstar.com/sports.php?story_id=4555 You'll notice that the article mentions Potulny and Irmen turning to the dark-side, but if anyone wants first-hand reports on Sioux recruits Porter and Lammy, just let me know. Your friendly Lincoln, Nebraska Sioux Fan, Craig
