I LOVE RAINBOWS AND BUTTERFLIES AND UNICORNS.

Everyone with two cents to rub together will vacate Minneapolis and larger cities. So, say goodbye to doctors, lawyers, and obviously police. What will you have left? No business.. no infrastructure. Just a bunch of rubble? lol.

Also - who is inciting violence here? So much hypocrisy.

Perhaps, especially if the unrest continues. But, seeing the opposite in my two-block ‘hood’ in south Minneapolis. 4 homes recently sold to younger professionals (older, retired empty nesters moved)...  $900K-1.3M range. Two recently hit the market at the +1M range.  Will be telling if those linger. Have colleagues who are selling, buying, or building in the area. Homes in NE are receiving multiple offers 10% above asking within first days on market, especially ‘starter’ homes in the $ 300-400K range. Ultimately though, we are concerned about future property taxes. They are the knee jerk response to raising revenues... and we already pay huge on our props.

He won't get off scot-free.  That's a given.  But murder charges?  Who knows.  Imo, it really depends on what they have on video; which i'm sure prosecutors have tons of.  It happened downtown; there's a hospital nearby and that gas station would also have cameras.

6 charges brought against him now.

-2 charges of first degree reckless homicide
    -attempted first degree intentional homicide
-2 charges of first degree recklessly endangering safety
    -possession of a dangerous weapon

Just saw a clip of a "defund the police" person on CNN.  She was asked about someone calling the police for a break-in at night.  Her response was nothing but the question showed the hosts' privilege.  No substantive answer.

Would Minneapolis actually defund the PD?  What an absolute mess that would be, although it would be an interesting social experiment to witness from afar."

I believe the Minneapolis Mayor has sole authority over the MPD, and the city commission is mandated to fund the MPD a certain percentage amount per resident. This is mostly chest thumping, but would be interesting nonetheless. Should drive up weapon purchases. Also a great time for the residents of south Minneapolis to revolt and become independent of the city, or join the cake eaters over in Edina.

Went to Home Depot for a pickup order. 90% in store with no masks. Majority of employees had no masks on.  Saw 7 African Americans in store......high risk group. One had a mask on.

I’ve witnessed just the opposite at several HDs in Minneapolis and even the one in Fergus Falls... and I made it past the customer support counter.  This was before the mayor’s mandate too.

I almost wish newspapers would start laying off journalists too.  Then, I suspect we might hear a different tune from them via their social media, similar to everyone else who has been laid off or owns a business.

Not print news, but MPR — volunteer furloughs and early outs.

Gov. Walz orders flags at half-staff for victims lost to COVID on the 19th of every month thru 2020.

    Can't make this stuff up.

    He's such an American Patriot!

Not agreeing/disagreeing with the action, but Walz is a retired Command Sergeant Major. So, yea, many do consider him an American Patriot.
