He disagreed with Obama's failed politics.  Cost hos job.  Obama never forgot.

Flynn received his 3rd star, a high level position at the ODNI, and then the directorship of DIA, all under Obama. Flynn’s leadership was erratic and he lost command and control over the Agency, and ultimately relieved of duty.

not sure why pence didnt' mention that biden thought the logan act would be a great way to destroy a highly respected military man...like trump did in his debate

IMO, Flynn lost respect from his superiors, peers, and subordinates long before his retirement. Respected when he helped change direction in Iraq and Afghanistan, as part of McChrystal’s staff, not so much when he returned to the flag pole. Failed at DIA, and lost the confidence of his superiors. Relieved from duty.

Meanwhile, yesterday on Capitol Hill, House members asking when Speaker Pelosi will implement a full plan.

    Dear Madame Speaker:

I am writing again today to reiterate my concern that we do not have a comprehensive health monitoring system and testing program for our Capitol Hill campus in order to help us do our part to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Matt Gaetz probably has some great ideas

FWIW, the US had a pretty good idea of what was going on in Germany and didn't do anything about it until they got dragged in so...yeah...just something to consider while you sleep tonight.

OK, totally off topic, but I have a different insight to this. Early in my career, I worked for an agency called NPIC. A retired senior official routinely came back to the flag pole to educate and motivate. His name was Dino Brugioni. He was a navigator or bomb tech during WWII.  He spoke of his time on bombing runs over Europe.  On those runs, the flight crews would fire up cameras—used later for battle damage assessing—about 10 minutes before target acquisition. He insisted that imagery was the first evidence/detection of the nazi detention camps. I recall him showing us the images of the buildings that were occupied, and not occupied... easily discernible by snow melt and foot traffic. Of note, Dino was directly involved in the identification of the SAM batteries in Cuba in 1962.  I haven’t thought of him for years.  He was an incredible Patriot. God Speed.

    Nah I don't  know much.

Correct. You should stick with your rants about a governor of a state of which you do not reside, and your creepy obsession for children and adolescent sports. I choose to remain neutral in these discussions, mostly because much of what’s said here is nonsensical and has pushed away those with expertise and helpful opinions, but also because of Hatch Act issues (regarding the political tug-of-war)...something Goon should be more concerned with too.

If someone had sent Ricin to your lord and savior Barack H. Obama you'd be calling for the electric chair, but since it's Trump, it's okay, right?

Although deadly in quantity, ricin isn’t too extreme.  The Russians are using the good stuff, especially on Putin’s opposition.  As for former President Obama, he received daily deaths threats and plenty of white powder letters.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t when it comes to filling the seat before inauguration. Piss your base off for not pushing a nominee through or piss off some moderates that want to wait to see who is elected. We all knew she hoped she would last until the next president took office., but now the opportunity has come where she could be replaced before the term is up. Sounds like Collins, Murkowski, and Romney are all signaling no votes before the next Congress. Seriously how the hell did we not banish Mitt from the party?!?!?

    “We”?

Is that you dad? Just kidding.

Wilco is great live, I've seen them probably two dozen times. Had tickets for two nights in March before the shut down. Too young to have seen UT live, unfortunately. Can only imagine how good it was.  Didn't know this song and I Wanna Be Your Dog were covers until maybe two or three years ago.

My username comes from the Wilco b sides compilation, incidentally. I knew the phrase but started using it as a moniker after that was released.

Wilco has a new manager that is really monetizing the hell out of them, hence the festival in Mexico and expanded merchandising/re-releases. On the plus side it'll keep them touring for a long time. They know to dig back to their Jay Bennett-era catalog too, so I'll keep attending!

That Mexico festival was a head scratcher, but seriously thought about going. My first Wilco shows were in Denver during the Being There tour. Denver had (has?) three great theaters in the Ogden, Bluebird, and Fox. I recall the Bluebird had a really tight pit area, which was insane at times. Saw them at each, but I remember one of the shows specifically because Tweedy jumped into the pit with my friends and me during the encore set, maybe during their cover of I Wanna Be Sedated or some other. Seems so strange now, considering his stage “shyness“.  Geez... almost 25 years ago.

    A pox upon the media

    And everything you read

    They tell you your opinions

    And they're very good indeed

Love me the UT, and fortunate to have seen them in the early 90s before the split.  But thinking I like the Soft Boys original better. Dunno. Still great though.

There is actually pretty decent empirical evidence for this. Whether Trump can take credit for it is another story. It’s actually kind of ridiculous how ‘clean’ the air over the U.S. is compared to other developed countries.

Is it really that amazing how drastic reduction in fossil fuel usage has a direct affect on air quality?  I doubt firing up 1,000 coal burning EPPs would have similar results.

Typical response from you.  Personal accountability......meh. Again it's  Portland.....do the math.

Didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. Just figured you support less guns on the street, which is a good thing, right? Same goes with Goon/Eric, as he supposedly works for a LE organization...perhaps not as an 1811, but nonetheless.
