These arguments are more than petty. 3rd grade boys are more civilized and mature than those who spew some of the garbage on these boards about Bison/Sioux. Its a disgrace to the tradition of the athletic programs and the schools themselves the way people either (a) think its funny to act like idiots, or (b) seriously take the whole NDSU/UND rivalry to such a level they honestly have forgotten about their own team because they are too busy bashing the other non-stop. Petty arguments are meant for juvenile children who need Mommy and Daddy to make things better. Not for grown men and women. By saying grown men and women, that includes college aged students.

Good grief. Why don't you all grow up. Act like grown men and women. Both NDSU Football and UND Hockey are big deals in this state. To try to say one is bigger than the other is a bit of comparing apples to oranges. I'm sick of the prejudices that misguide the logical thought processes from both the UND and the NDSU camps. Its sad. Why can't you just let them be what they are rather than constantly trying the belittle one to raise the other up. I will say that I personally think NDSU football is a bigger deal just because football is a sport more heavily sponsored by all schools and divisions. That's just my opinion though. I respect people may disagree with that, but I don't respect the constant need to bicker over who's bigger. Who's better....Let them both be what they are. Arguing over them does nothing but make us all look like a bunch of immature idiots.

Why don't you all grow up and drop the crap. This irrational UND/NDSU crap is a black eye to both Universities and to the State of North Dakota. Its pathetic to see this crap on both Bisonville and Siouxsports. If you want to talk and act like 13 year old boys, why don't you go back to your middle school playground and only come back here once you've matured. Its pathetic.

Get a life. Give the petty crap a rest. Were you even a student at UND the last time NDSU/UND played? I'd love to see you beat Ball State and almost beat Minnesota both games on the road. To be discounting NDSU's schedule is crap when you play the likes of Augustana and barely beat them. On that note, I'll be a level headed individual and say NDSU's women's basketball team recently lost an exhibition game against MSU-Moorhead at the BSA. Does that mean NDSU women's basketball schedule is weak and that their team is even more weak? Its quite a hasty generalization you are making. Why don't you concern yourself more with your super strong Sioux schedule. Its seems to be plenty challenging for UND. I can only imagine what NDSU would do against that schedule.

What's sad is these kids get scholarships ("scholar" as in academic) to play sports when so many of them really have no aspirations of getting a degree. They are just there to fine tune their hockey game and get noticed by the pros...the whole situation of so called athletic "scholar"ships needs to be revisted and addressed ASAP in my opinion. If they are to continue being given to athletes who are just going to leave school early for so called "greener" pastures, I think they aren't deserving of a scholarship in the first place. Give it to someone wanting and intending to complete their education with the scholarship, not some athlete that doesn't care about the student side of things.

Best offensive lineman in all of college football? C'mon. Its time for a bit of objectivity. The draft analysts are calling him a developmental prospect and, to his credit, a sleeper. But to call him one of the best offensive line prospects in all of college football is a little over the top in my opinion.

Its time to be good sports and stop all this hate just because its UND or NDSU. Anyone heard of racism? Apply that to idea to sports and that's what we have with both the Bison blowhards and the Sioux blowhards. Grow up, act/speak like civilized adults, and stop with the hate of each other. Both schools are great for the state of North Dakota. Their blowhard fans, however, a disgrace to their respective universities and to the state of North Dakota.

From Bisonville in yet another UND thread. Would these guys just drop their pants and get this measurement BS over with. C'mon. This is the pathetic stuff I was referring too. Its a disgrace to UND, NDSU and the state of North Dakota....

I will say there is a difference in the level of plays in D-II and DI-AA with DI-AA being the better of the two. However, I will also say both UND and NDSU have programs capable of being DI-AA contenders. In NDSU's case, they aren't far from that right now. In UND's case, they need to make the commitment to DI-AA football if they (mainly their fans) want to say they could be competitive in DI-AA football and that it isn't much better than DII football. I also want to say I find it pathetic how both NDSU fans and UND fans can't stop the petty bickering. Go to Bisonville, and all you read about is how "Bison are supreme" and DII means nothing (even though the Bison made their name in D2 and have a storied history in D2). I find that hypcrisy appalling. Point that out on Bisonville and you get banned for being objective and not seeing things through rosey glasses. Why can't the fans go back to supporting their own team instead of constantly ripping on their old rival and call that supporting their team? Sioux Sports does a much better job being about Sioux than Bisonville does being about the Bison. Heck, Bisonville has a whole thread devoted to UND...even though the whole board is basically about UND. At least Siouxsports hasn't gone that road. Its time for objectivity to return to both Siouxsports and Bisonville and time for all the "homers" to stop being so obnoxious and brash. Is that too much to wish for? Afterall, we are all North Dakota sports lovers.
