i think somebody else should play. one thing that im usually proud of as a sioux fan is not playing cheap...as long as they dont dive.

Since it seems the lawyers have wussed out on fighting the NCAA, it may be time to get a name that we DON"T NEED TO GET APPROVAL to use. It is getting old having UND bending over backwards all the time to kiss butt without any support from the tribes. If the Sioux aren't honored byUND using their name, then why do we want to honor them?
It is ridiculous that a University has to kiss butt to keep a school name. Seriously, this doesn't even really seem to be in the spirit of us being the Fighting Sioux. It is funny that Donors pay the university money to have their names put on buildings at UND but the Sioux tribes don't want their names put on for free!
I have been a Fighting Sioux fan all my life but I don't want the cheer to be "Hear Come Your Butt Kissing Fighting Sioux"! I don't think that has a very good ring to it.
I might take this back if the tribes change their minds and find honor now that they have some control over the future of their name being used by UND but lets not be butt kissers. Everything I just said in that sentence sounds weak. Maybe the time has come to move on....
i would not call it wussing out. the legal fees were already in the millions, believe it or not.

Agree. I think you have to leave Vande on his line to give us more scoring depth. He's played decent thus far this year.
i like VV on 2nd too. my guess is kozek. he looks like he may be ready for a more consistant year.

i dont know how likely Seth Soley is going to come here, but he was listed as an "A" player. plus hes right handed!

Jay Ness is listed as an A player and he is no giant.
you mean aaron. yeah, i didnt notice that...id be surprised if a player that size would go in the first 2 rounds though.

their preliminary rankings come out in nov. too. i noticed that derek lee of salmon arm was listed as a "C" player, but im sure that is due to size, like barriball, duncan, and trupp.

(A) - Fink, Fienhage, Toews, Kristo
(B) - Gleason, Cichy
Also, one uncommitted USHL (A) player is Nick Larson, a teammate of Fink's at Waterloo. He played at STA HS last year and had a good state tourny showing.
its a good thing that minnesota didnt want any of these recruits, otherwise we would be out of luck

I predict a Sioux sweep. Tech played a MSU team last week that had not played a game yet, and took advantage. They also lost at home to a MTU team that UMD beat 4-0.
Sioux win Friday 2-1, possibly in OT.
Sioux win Saturday 5-2.

That is what I am talking about, everyone is acting like MTU is this great unbeatable powerhouse. The reality is that MTU isn't the door mat they once were, they are no longer the easy four points. I get that. I would still put them in the same boat as a Northeastern University or Providence or Ferris State. MTU is a good team but they aren't world beaters. Everyone talks about the team that went to the final five last year that got man handled by a middle of the pack Wisconsin team.
If you remember back to the Final five last season MTU was hard pressed to cycle the puck out of their own end. UND needs to win this series and take some points and get some revenge for being embarrassed in their own barn last season.
i agree that und should be able to sweep. however, mtu is a very good team. they are top 5 or 6 in wcha and better than all the teams you listed.

Okay, I'm not understanding what you are saying. How does "I feel honored to be a part of this team/school/group" equal "look at me"? I take it as being humble; if a person was trying to pat themselves on the back, wouldn't they say something like: "______ is blessed to have me on the team" or "look what I did to make this place better" the closest I see that happening is "being here forces me to make myself better"
I am not trying to flame, I really am not following you with your post.

CC just scored on the PP to tie it up! Caught the goofs napping on a line change and came in 2 on none. Game is really picking up now, end to end action.

There was a fight just now in the Badgers game...several players going to the box. The play-by-play guys said "this sort of feels like when the Sioux come to town."
i heard him mention something like that too. this is a good webcast...and no ads!
