Makes sense, thanks again for posting this on here for us fans that can't listen ourselves. Good comments by CB, sounds like he's excited about the team but trying not to get his hopes up too high either because he knows that they are still young. Although after what they've shown us so far it's hard not to get excited!!! Let's go Sioux, get two wins out East!

I was reading the GF herald this morning and came across this article about the Purple Eagles. Not too much info in the article except at the end when they had Burkholders comments on the Sioux squad this year. The quote button won't work for me, but this is what he said.

Thanks PCM and diggerdan, and everyone else for your thoughts on the game last night. I live in the TC and I wasn't able to even listen to the game last night. Sounds like the team came out fired up even for Manitoba and noone took them lightly, that's a good sign for the rest of the season. I also like the scoring down the lines, that's a plus for depth. It's going to be an exciting season!!!

I completely agree with you dagies, it is way too early for the polls to be accurate I was just putting it out there. The poll that makes the most sense to me is the pairwise rankings and that doesn't come out for a while. Even the pairwise isn't going to determine the outcome of a game, that's why they are played (and for our enjoyment). I just think it's nice that other people out there think highly of the Sioux this year. I also think that staying around the middle of the polls doesn't put any added pressure on the team, and doesn't make them a target for other teams, which can happen to some of the top ranked teams

Just thought I would get this thread going again. Looks like the team moved up the ranks without playing any games this past weekend. Looks like due to the Maine loss and Cornell not having played a game yet. Anyway, just thought that I would put it out there if you haven't seen it yet. I don't have any good news but I will look around my area for a sports bar that may have a dish like that and willing to show a Sioux game on a Fri. or Sat. night. I too could gather a few guys to watch the games. I'll let you know if I hear any good news.

Thanks for the info on the talk show kr, I'm a huge Sioux fan from EGF, but I live in Mpls now and don't get to watch the games on TV, just internet broadcast . So, I don't get to hear too much about the team only what I can get online (what's worse is that I have to hear about the goofies all the time). I really appreciate the summaries you guys post on here. I can't comment too much on the play of the game, but from listening it souned like Matt Greene had a good weekend, than I checked the WCHA page and he was named Rookie of the week!!!
