Smiled on the bench, actually chuckled. Ran into Troy someone after the 2nd (coach) both looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders. 3rd period showed that we've got a little grit, a little character. We played a good third period.
After the second, we've gotta fix a couple of things. Obviously, we can't fix it now, gotta show some composure, do what we need to do to win the game. Second period was goofy. Did dumb/selfish things to put ourself in the penalty box. Didn't have one poor player in the third period.
Was very important that we never trailed, we always were able to answer. Strange games, strange bounces. First two periods neither team could kill a penalty. Couple of our goals were really good plays.
5 on 3 in the third, and we did an excellent job killing that.
Grieco, first goal was a bounch, had no chance. In a nutshell, Anthony will need to work on rebound control, especially power plays. That's typical of a young goalie. Goalie has to be the best penalty killer. He got two wins, that's a good place to start. He'll go back to work on Monday like everyone else.
Kozek had two shots on goal last night from right around the faceoff, they went into the chest. Tonight, first goal you could say was a bad goal, but it was a big time shot. Heck of a play. Screened shot. He's the only one that can do it. Same with his power play goal.
Only one or two negatives to correct, and we have to correct it soon or it will cost us. Protected the puck, advanced the puck, and did smart things with the puck today.
