Would have had the first down, but illegal formation, 3rd and long...

I was listening to a coaches show (or maybe it was Sioux Weekly) this season and Coach Lennon said that our first drive is always the worst defensively. The defense needs some time to settle down and then they'll start playing well.... It's only the 1st quarter, there is plenty of game left!

So I got one of the teddy bears tonight at the game to throw on the ice. While walking around the arena before the game started I was carrying my bear and decided that he needed a name. So I check out the first picture that I come across, with a fairly good name, and it was Curtis Murphy so I named him Murphy! Just funny to see his bobblehead...

Having sat in the front row, I know that the cup holders/arm rests are removeable, so perhaps they are concerned with students potentially throwing them on the ice? Just a thought... although, the front row has cup holders... maybe it's just a space issue?

There are more Joneses? I don't think so... however, hopefully some day we can talk about how great the Toews brothers were at UND I can always dream...

Just got back from the game... one of the most entertaining games (in my opinion) that I have been to this year. The three goals in the first period really got the fans going, and the makeshift student section was a blast!!! We had a little old guy right next to us on the glass listening to the radio so he'd update us when we couldn't hear... had some people that appeared to be a little under the influence behind us trying to start the wave (so not a hockey thing) and a fair amount of cheering, generally student led. Great game, lots of strong performances, not too many times when I was nervous. Let's keep it up boys!!!

Wow... I leave and we're winning, and I come back and we lost... and not a peep out of my friends who were at the game... hmmm... What happened to Lamoureux in the third? Didn't see any of it, and post game comments?

I asked Coach Eades today in ice skating class if Phil was back at practice and he said yes... so maybe we'll see him this weekend...
