Twice in three weeks and a shutout in between.
What was Deano thinking when he brought JP on board.

If Mankato gets solid goaltending, I think they will be a headache team all season in the WCHA.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
They are a thorn in UND's side most seasons - good goaltending or not; after watching the games last weekend I imagine this year will be provide more of the same!

roper-
Last year our best faceoff man was our 3rd liner (McMahon)
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Are you sure?
2004-05 stats:
13 Lee Marvin 23 1 0 1.000
28 Robbie Bina 32 1 0 1.000
8 Nick Fuher 43 2 1 .667
15 Travis Zajac 45 485 363 .572
10 Rory McMahon 42 423 364 .537
14 Brady Murray 25 16 14 .533
24 Chris Porter 45 44 39 .530
9 Quinn Fylling 45 236 218 .520
29 Colby Genoway 44 159 148 .518

17 Rylan Kaip 22 36 57 .387
Even if you discount Marvin, Bina and Fuher, which you should, McMahon still wasn't the leader!

Why in God's name did UNH give a stick salute?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Very good question!

Gophs score. Kessel on ice but doesn't appear to touch puck. We'll see if he gets one of those phantom assists Woog detests.
MSUM scores 10-15 seconds later to make it 2-1 end of one.
-
MSUM goal 1:30 in.
poor goaltending by Briggs. Cue Goon!

Next time, I recommend you & all others ask me or any other poster you have problems with for an explanation before jumping to conclusions. It facillitates discussions.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I think it is safe to say that I am not jumping to conclusions, but you may be about TH. And I don't have a problem with you (in fact, I generally enjoy your posts and point of view), I have a problem with the general assumption of your post. It isn't fair.
If you want to facilitate discussions about mental disorders I am sure there are psychiatric boards where that type of discussion is warranted and wanted.
If you want to discuss this further you can pm me.

Hopefully this medical hardship isn't being taken for early signs of schizophrenia. I work with schizophrenic clients & this mental illness usually starts showing itself in 17-25 year olds. Intrusive, uncontrollable thoughts that, according to the afflicted, come from one or more outside "people". Schizophrenics also have hardcore delusions (false beliefs that have no basis in reality), are usually quite paranoid & some are hyper-religious. I'm working with a 42 y/o male now who thinks he has an implant in his throat that controls the moods & behaviors of those around him.
I'm hoping that what Tyler is going through is nothing more than transient personal problems & not anything like schizophrenia which is quite debilitating.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Is this really necessary? The fact that schizophrenia is even been considered, not to mention discussed, by a poster is wholly inappropriate at this point.
The kid seeks a medical hardship for who knows what reason and we've already made the leap to the request may have been made because of a substantial psychiatric disorder.

How is it possible to place her name on the jumbotron spelled (phonetically, I suppose) HOEHOG?

Were season ticket holders supposed to be able to get their regular season seats, or did they just get to buy seats earlier than the general public?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
That depends on where the seats are. I sit in an end section (112) and was able to get mine, but another poster on this board sits in a corner section (114) and was not able to get his because they are reserved for parents or teams or bands or what have you. He got moved to section 111.

Any speculation as to who gets into the lineup tonight. (I'm assuming Spirko is a scratch.)
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
From what I witnessed at practice today:
As an aside, it looks like Watkins will be skating with Stafford and Zajac tonight, while Miller will be joining Duncan and Kozek. The other two lines were the same as last night. -
thank you - crutches is not a good sign
hopefully not acl - perhaps mcl and a simple strain - hopefully
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I watched about 30 minutes of practice today. He was on crutches and his right leg was heavily wrapped from above the knee down to his ankle. It wasn't an encouraging sight.

Great to hear that Kaip played well this weekend. To be honest, it's probably not best that he was our best player this weekend. However, it's super to hear that he appears to be "back on his feet" after his injury last year. That should really help solidify the depth in the lineup.

Best Western in Duluth or St. Cloud?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
St. Cloud.
That is where the team stayed last year and it is only a couple minute drive to the arena.
-
Short Vande Velde article.
Through the first two weekends of the regular season, Vande Velde leads the Stars with four goals. The Stars forward was also recently selected to wear an 'A' for the coming year. -
I'm glad he didn't come here....we expect a little more than 3 points and 198 penalty minutes from our defenseman.
He commited to UND and then the scouts shot him up 2 rounds? Smoking too much fertalizer up there man.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
We expect a little more . . . . ? What are you on the coaching staff now?
Are these numbers more to your liking?
7 pts - 82 pm
13 pts - 149 pm
11 pts - 112 pm
17 pts - 130 pm
Those are DeMarchi's numbers by season and it is well known how much Gopher fans (most anyway) loved his style of play.
How about:
8 pts - 68 pm and gone after one season, ready or NOT.
Those are Jake Taylor's sparkling numbers while wearing that treasured M.
Now, the kicker:
TWO goals - 100 pm and a full roll of tp for every time Spirko steps on the ice. Yes, Harrington had quite a season last year. Say, isn't he the Gophs leading returning d-man?

My feed must be a little slower than you guys today unless you guys are able to listen to the radio.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I am in Fargo listening to the radio.

Stafford-Zajac-Toews
Lee-Smaby
Lammy
starters.
-
did finley play last night??
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
He played and was paired with Radke.
-
Doesn't sound like UND is doing anything on this PP.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Maybe it is just my perception, but that seems to be the rule rather than exception with pp's at the start of any period!
-
Duncan was in on one of the PPs.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
That must have been when my kid was having a meltdown!
-
What are the lines tonight?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Best I can tell:
Stafford-Zajac-Toews
Porter-Duncan-Spirko
Fabian-Prpich-Kozek
Watkins-Kaip-Oshie
The only name above I haven't heard mentioned is Duncan, but I assume he is playing.
