Just like me back in the late 1700s.

Psychiatrists would also just give him medication and send him on his way
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
And tell him to say that he missed games for personal reasons perhaps?
Hard to say . . . .
-
I think medical doctors tell people what to do a lot more than mental health professionals. Of course a majority of people with mental health issues can interpret things incorrectly, or choose to twist things to their liking.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Psychiatrists are medical doctors.
I don't know if he was suffering any physical ailments, perhaps smashing into the net banged him up, but if physically fit, he wouldn't likely be visiting a "regular" doctor.
-
I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion from this article. Tyler could clear things up by explaining his actions, but he hasn't. Lucia could pronounce him fit and ready to play, but he hasn't.
That doesn't leave me with the impression that Tyler's mentally fine.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I agree. The fact that
doctors advised him to simply say he missed the games for personal reasons.implies some mental health issues. (Note it says doctors, not doctor) It clearly appears that he doesn't have any physical ailments that would require a doctor's visit, if he was just dinged up he would say so. And I would venture a guess that he wasn't meeting with a cardiologist or peditrician or dermatologist, etc. . . . .

By my count (taking into account that some of the eastern teams may have shifted conferences in the past, which I am not aware of) the number of titles are:
Did you take that into account?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I did take that into account, but didn't have time to research WCHA league membership all the way back to 1948, sorry. Michigan has won nine titles, how many as a WCHA representative, I have no idea. MSU has won two, in '66 and '86. In '86, at least, they were members of the CCHA.
The point was more about HE's lack of titles.
Read the sentence above as it applies to WCHA teams, the same would apply to teams from all other conferences.
The point remains, in the grand scheme of things, HE has not had much success winning ice hockey championships.
-
As for ESPN, well all I can say is that they need to face the fact that the WCHA is a much stronger conference then that of Hockey East.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Recently and historically.
This year's will be the 58th NCAA ice hockey championship and obviously a WCHA team will win it. That makes 30 of the 58 championships for the WCHA and five of the last six, if my math is correct.
By my count (taking into account that some of the eastern teams may have shifted conferences in the past, which I am not aware of) the number of titles are:
WCHA 30
CCHA 15
HE 8
ECAC 5
From a numbers perspective only, there is quite a disparity between the WCHA and the eastern conferences. In fact, historically, HE is more on par with the ECAC, even though I don't feel that it is hockey-wise anymore. But, even if one combines the two eastern conferences, the number of titles falls short of those earned by the CCHA, which has half the number of the WCHA.

Wow! Impressive recap. Thanks for taking the time to post it.

posted a smart A$$ comment without reading the post

Doesn't that fit the definition of trolling?

MM,
Talks of a baptism, two hours to get ready, and now a smurf avatar - are you going soft on us?
Bring back the edge and the nice pics!
-
I need to be back in Minneapolis by 12 noon Sunday for my niece's baptism (well, technically, then, I need to be back here by about 9-10 am to give me time to get ready),
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It takes you two-three hours to get ready for a baptism?

And you think I am saying watch out for Harrington defensively or offensively?
I'm saying watch out for Harrington because he might spear Stafford again! SHEESH!
He has lately been not above cheap shots and bad hits lately. I don't want another Sioux player getting hurt.
Sorry for not spelling everything out.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Ah, RW77, we all know you set up your Chris Harrington cardboard cutout right next to all your Mapletoft posters. There is no point in trying to hide your adoration.

I'm going for the underdog.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Who isn't in this game?
-
If UND doesn't win, CC would be my next choice (with UMD out already).
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I join in that statement.
-
I believe Hunt is reffing.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Actually, it is Campion.
I don't mind Campion and feel he is one of the better refs in the WCHA, but that isn't saying much. Of note, BC had to kill a roughly 1:30 5 on 3 in the first - we (Sioux fans) haven't had to watch many of those this year.
-
Any updates on this game?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Puck drops at 3:30 cst.

eaves (bruised lung) and gionta (seperated left shoulder) were cleared to practice for BC and to lay friday vs mercyhurst
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hmmmmmm

WDAZ reported that he did indeed come home last nite and was at REA today.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
He is ambulatory already? That is amazing!!!
-
You forgot Radke who should do fine next year.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My bad. I think Radke has a very nice future and I look forward to watching him throughout his career.
Either way, the point remains, if Greene doesn't return and Bina cannot play, as a whole UND is very thin, inexperienced and quite young at defense next season.
-
First off, NO CHANCE if the Sioux don't beat BU.
Secondly, put your money on BC.
Thirdly, don't be surprised if the Sioux beat BC.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Dagies, very well stated!

Does anyone have a link of spirkos goal?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I don't, but I just watched part of that game again, and the goal was very sweet, or as Wooger said, "glorious!"

This would fit nicely in the former players thread!
