Yeah, however, the good ol' boys on this board will tell you to pack it up and leave if you don't like it rather than fixing the real problems. I was under the impression that a public forum was not run that way but obviously I'm way off base.

Well first of all, jim opened this up as a public forum, therefore all are welcome. Second of all, jim was the one who told us he was making a conscious effort to "clean up the board."(which we all know is not happening) Third, we realize you are buddies with him and therefore are above the rules and regulations that others are to follow, thus the double standard. I think you need to take it up with jim, instead of acting like a three year old, but again this is the norm for this forum.

Yes, you are right. The problem is not the moderators or jim, but rather with the inconsistency in moderating. I get banned for attacking people yet nothing is done about dean constantly attacking Goon. Not to mention the personal attacks on players and coaches, which you jim, and the moderators are fine with. This is after jim had his big push to clean up the board so it was an environment that fans, players and family and friends would enjoy. Do you think Joe Finley's family likes coming here and reading the "official bash Joe Finley " thread? How about Hak or his family? It's not my rules, they are jim's. He is the one who said he was making more of an effort for it to stop. By your logic, jim should be able to accept my criticism, ad nausema or not. There is a double standard, and it comes down to jim and the moderating team to fix it. Ask PCM next time you see him, I can guarantee you will hear a much different story of why he doesn't post here. I'm sure it will be different than the versions people have shared on here. Like I said before, say what you want about gopher fans, but this !@#$ doesn't happen on gpl. Ram your freedom of speech, blah, blah, blah, down everyone's throats if you want, but with that also comes responsibility. Actually I hope nothing changes, I can't wait until someone has had enough and the lawyers get involved. Then some buttholes are gonna be puckerin' up.

I don't have a problem with constructive criticism, most people here can't figure out what that is. As far as a lawsuit, I guess everyone convenientl forgets the whole buning debacle just a few months ago. I know it was mentioned more than once about legal action against some of those posters. But hey, buning was a stand up guy and didn't deserve the treatment he got. Like RW said, in this day and age don't be suprised about anything. One other thing mike, I respectfully disagree about posting things like"fire the whole staff." It is nothing more than ignorance, and you know it.

Are you sure about this? Aren't you as a fan entitled to much more than the team and coaching staff gave on thursday? After all you spent YOUR hard earned money, and wasted YOUR precious time to watch these guys piss down their legs. There cannot possibly be a rational explanation for it, can there? Some people on this board might try to convince you of that, and convice you they have every right to demand Hak be replaced, and all the players be horse-whipped for it. But not me. Am I disappointed? Probably more than anyone. Do I think they gave it there all? Not by a long shot. But folks, I have watched enough sports, and lived enough life to know that things do not always go the way we want them. There simply is no reason for the venomous postings directed at the staff and players the last couple of days. Someone please close these threads and lets all move on.

Yes, Jim, the "blind eye of justice," I hope it works out for you man. What I don't understand is the fact that he allows people to bash Hak and players, and certain individuals to harass others like yourself. But, when people like me go to their defense by bashing someone, then the axe starts swing. There is just no consistency to the enforcement of the loosley termed "rules" here. It all depends on who you are.

Yeah, deans vendetta with you (Goon) is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Jim and the boys give nothing more than lip service when they say they are cleaning up and enforcing the "rules." The only enforcing of the rules was suspending me for two weeks, which I had coming, yet others on here continue to violate board rules and nothing is done. The double standard here is ridiculous.

Discussing performance is one thing, saying Hak should be fired because of it is totally unacceptable. People who post mindless ilk like that and things like "official Joe Finley bashing" threads are nothing more than ignorant. But, that's the way you guys want this board to be so that's fine. I can't wait until one someone files a lawsuit and costs you guys big time, and you know it could happen because although you say you try to keep things in line you don't. Let's be honest, thats why PCM isn't around here anymore, he doesn't want to be associated with it when the !@#$ hits the fan. Keep up the good work boys. Sooner or later your lack of responsibilty is going to catch up with you. Try to justify any way you want but you (Jim, and all moderators) know that it ain't BS.

I have no problem with a post like this. It's the one's where people say "I'm a fan, I'm mad, and I have every right to say what I want about who I want." Those are the ones thart start all the trouble.

I'm not insulted, I'm disappointed because there is no one here to clean up the mess this board is today. I expected more from the powers that be on this board. Common sense would tell you that the idiots would be out after a loss in a big game like yesterday, yet they left the daycare completely unattended. Guaranteed if I would bash people for bashing coaches/players I would either be suspended or banned for life. Believe, there are people on here who need a time out, and it's not me. I understand that. It's still jims responsibility to police this stuff. I very disappointed how people are taking liberties today without the watchful eye of jim or any of the other moderators.

Yes, I want to extend my personal thank you to jim and and his moderating team. They have done a wonderful job cleaning up the board and making it into a place where fans, coaches, players, recruits and their families and friends can all feel welcome to come here and read it. Outstanding. this is pulitzer prize type stuff here folks.

With all due respect MM, it's part of running a message board, like I said, if it was me, they'd be all over it. It's a double standard, and it's jim's responsibilty to fix.

Really? That's not what he told me. I highly doubt you even know him. So you're a moderator now, you determine who will be suspended and who won't, laughable. I'm not the one hammering the coach staff and players, or conding it like some others. Yes, you're right I'm a 38 year old kid, that realizes that people in all walks of life fail. Yes, hockey players are people and sometimes they lose games, that's how life is. I don't have to bash you here, but I will say that if you believe what you wrote you are waaaayyyyyyyy off base. If they want to suspend me for telling you that your thinking is wrong go ahead, this board is a frickin joke anyway.

That's all fine and good. Talk about the loss, reasons for it, ect. But, starting threads like "we need a coaching change," and "official Finley bashing threads" is nothing more than a bunch of ignorant, un-called for bull$%!#. I'm disappointed in Jim and the moderating team for letting it go on as long as it has. However, I'm not suprised cause that's the way they do stuff around here. When was the last time anyone saw a "fire Lucia" thread over on gpl. Gopher fans may be arrogant pricks, but after reading much of the crap on here today, most of our fans have no room to talk.

I'm sure when they have fan appreciation night the concourse will be empty. Should be easy getting everyone's autograph now. I won't have to stand in line with people that have a bunch of bratty kids that have no clue as to what's going on anyway. I should be in and out of there in twenty minutes this time. We all know that's not reality. All of you fairweather fans will be there taking pictures, shaking hands and gushing over these guys just like always. And, just like always, the guys will be cordial to everyone, even the people who only support them when they are "perfect." But then again how would they know as I'm sure most of you won't be revealing your siouxsports moniker.

It's a well know fact that PCM and myself disagree on many things. Yet I respect his opinion. I was pointing out that he doesn't post here because of crap like this.

There's no bashing that needs to be done. MafiaMan is right, so am I. Still no moderators to mop up this mess. I bet if I started throwing down personal attacks on those who are deserving of it I would have the moderators all over me like stink on !@#$. How ironic that they allow it to go on as long as it is a player or a coach. Like has been stated before, this is why good people like PCM and others don't come here anymore.

Oshie, Duncan, Chorney, Finley, yeah they all care about themselves so much they gave up guaranteed offers to come back here and play in front of people without a clue just like yourself. This just keeps getting better. I have to wonder where the moderators are? Like MafiaMan, this is exactly what I expected.

Last time I checked Hak was coaching the Sioux, not Red. Whatever happened to "in Hak we trust?" Boy is it ever easy for some people to forget.
