I could care less if the Final Five at the Xcel Energy Center gives the Gophers a home-like advantage. It's what makes it all the sweeter to watch if and when they lose to see all those Gopher fans start filing out of the arena before the 3rd period of a game is even over.

After your post I might have to start sandbagging UND in hopes of no jinxing!
-
1. UND - May be biased but I do know we are returning the best D-corp in the conference plus we'll finally have a 'veteran' offense of upperclassmen. 2. UMTC - They may have lost 3 defenseman but they'll return a good offense. And from what I saw towards the end of the season Frazee was stepping into his role as being the #1 goalie on the team so I think he'll be bailing the defense out in a couple of games this season for the gophers. 3. MTU - I'm not to sure whether or not there overrated but they are returning a lot of key players plus there goalie Teslak is really good. I think with solid goaltending plus consistent scoring from the offense will place MTU in the top 3. Plus they'll be getting a solid recruit that'll join the team sometime this season. I underestimated them this past season when they swept the Sioux and this year I'm definitely not. 4. SCSU - There returning a pretty good offense with Lasch and Nodl. Goaltending will be suspect this season but if the new goalie steps up they'll have another good season. 5. UW - Even though there boring to watch they will have a very good freshman class. Despite the fact they lost Elliot the goalie to take his spot(Connelly) will be ready to fill the spot. UW has probably the best goalie coach in all of college hockey. I just don't see how the new starting goalie won't have a good season. 6. DU - They've had some defection woes and I think will have a slow start of the season. However, I'm not going to be surprised if they pick up steam in the second half of the season. Even though Mannino hasn't had a overly superb season numbers as he did in his freshman year when he won a championship he's still a veteran goalie. 7. CC - Don't really know much about this team. All I do remember about the tigers was how good of a goalie Matt Zaba was. Not sure how good there offense is this year but I think they are going to struggle. 8. UMD - May have lost Raymond and Niskanen but the Bulldogs always seem to play hard every year. They won't be basement dwellers. 9. MSU - Known to have a bunch of thugs. It's sure fun to watch them when they play the Sioux since things always seem to heat up between the two I just don't think there gonna be good. No Morin, I just don't think they'll be scoring a lot. They do have alright goalies though in Zacharias and Tormey. 10. UAA - They are gonna take wins from the upper teams I just don't see them improving this year though. Plus they lost Lawson in net so I'm not to sure how good there new starting goalie is going to be.

My dad and I always love to do the Football//Hockey combo in one day. We leave Minot in the morning watching the football game, have some dinner, then head to the hockey game then head home. Always a fun day especially when it involves Sioux athletics

If she got them off Ticketmaster it would tell her in her "My Ticketmaster" page where it'll show her what events she purchased tickets for and it'll show the basic order details. But to find out where your seats are located at you just click on the link that says "More order details". Also you could've had the tickets sent to you free of charge if you picked the 'Standard Mail' option which means you'll get them sent to you at least 2 days before the event but usually you get them way earlier than that. P.S. It was vice versa AZ. The Saturday game sold out in 6 minutes and the Friday game sold out in 30 minutes.

The Minnesota series this past season was a blast especially watching the Sioux sweep the Gophers in their own home. Which the Sioux did in style. But my father and I decided to take a less risky trip cause when we went to the games we didn't have tickets but luckily my dad's friend knew this guy who was a Sioux fan or something cause he gave us sweet seats that was in the Sioux fan section and was 2 rows away from the ice. So instead of taking the risk again we're probably gonna go to the St. Cloud series.

NDSU and SDSU got invited into the Gateway Football Conference.

I'm in quite disbelief that this happened. My condolences to those affected by this.

Well we lose some yet we also win some new players it's how college hockey goes. I wasn't a huge fan of Lee's play but he did show sparks of talent at times. In my opinion he was definitely not ready to go pro but if he wanted to leave for the money and development in the AHL so be it. I think after a year or two in the AHL I could see Lee playing a couple of games for the Senators.

Well I remember when Finley used his size on a foolish Maine player and started dragging him around on the ice like he was a toy

A person at bobcatnation posted: It was posted today but whether it's true or not who knows. Good news for us though if it is true . Link: http://www.bobcatnation.com/bobcatboard/vi...pic.php?t=10476

college hockey? I didn't know there was such of a thing. And to make a game for it? Ludicrous!

I've lived in Minot my whole life and it was always a fun time going to Grand Forks. As for Fargo...there's really nothing their that my family and I would go to visit. Well except when UND football team would play the Bison. Other than that though Fargo isn't anything special other than being the biggest city and having a movie named after it

Brad Schlossman said that grandforksherald.com should have details about Gregoire sometime today.

I'm going to miss watching Toews play(considering I don't watch NHL until playoffs since) but congratulations to him. He was ready to go only reason he might have stayed back was another shot for a National Title but obviously that wasn't as enticing as going pro. I'm glad the wait for his decision is over. So what's next? Lee Watch?
-
or maybe Finley will teach him a few things . And I don't think Finley should leave just yet he's shown a lot of progress in the second half of the season. I think another year would be great for him and the team . As for Toews he's ready to go but it's up to him whether or not he wants to stay another year and have another shot at a national title and conditioning or start making money. Hopefully Brian Lee doesn't leave. Sure he made me angry a couple of games where he made stupid mistakes but he's also shown some great defensive work. In the end I hope NO underclassmen leave! ^_^

Well for the most part a lot of people gave there appreciation to the seniors in the game thread or in some other thread for the most part which is probably why there are only a few posts in here. But still no excuse to not show appreciation to them in a thread dedicated to them! It was fun watching Porter, Fabian, and Foyt(still remember that St. Lawrence goal you scored). You were all terrific seniors! Good luck to you in life after college and thanks for sticking around 4 years

The announcers said that the Assistant Referee called the penalty not Shep. However, whether or not if the announcers were correct I do not know.
-
It sure does pass the time. Never said it didn't. Just making a self-declaration that I was taking all the speculation as a grain of salt.
-
Not really they didn't lose two years in a row in a game for the National Title. I think that's worse than just bowing out in the semifinal.
-
man, if I was a BC fan I would be in a worse state than I was when the Sioux lost on thursday. I mean 2 national championship games in a row and nothing to show for it...that's really heartbreaking.
-
Spartans put the nail in the coffin by scoring an empty netter. MSU 3 BC 1 FINAL. Congratulations to the Spartans! They deserve it! I didn't want the east to win the title. This is a great win for MSU and the CCHA as a whole.

Thanks to all the people who are reassuring that Oshie isn't leaving. But right now I consider it all hearsay and I'm gonna way until I see him on the ice next season or see an announcement that he signed with the Blues.

Well here's something to be happy about! Even though the season came to an end for the Sioux we at least got something to smile about...Ryan Duncan won the HOBEY!!! woohooo!!! Congrats Ryan you deserve it even though I know you'd rather have won a National Title with the team instead of getting the individual award. Now we have 2 Sioux players who have won the Hobey!! Panzer was robbed?!?!?
