Well considering this is a UND vs. Princeton game and not a Michigan vs. Princeton game I'm quite fine with them talking up Oshie rather than listening to them talk that Porter has probably sealed the deal.

I'm glad I picked Clarkson to beat SCSU in the bracket contest. My heart was thinking SCSU would finally get that alluding NCAA Tournament win but my brain told me that Clarkson would beat a St. Cloud team who seems to not be able to get it done in the tournament. So far my bracket is going good no wrong picks yet! :D

I just wanted to inform people that FSSN will have no part in getting the feed from ESPN. It's all Midcontinent Communications. FSSN uses Midcontinent Channel 23 to broadcast there games on(for cable) and it's Midcontinent that will have to get the rights to broadcast the Saturday game live.

I'm actually excited about the UND-Princeton game since Princeton is a team that we get to see the Sioux play against very often and is quite unfamiliar to us seeing. Hakstol will have the boys ready to take on Princeton and I'm pretty sure the team will be pumped up and ready for the challenge that is the NCAA National Tournament. The Wisconsin-Denver game is going to be a very good game and will be interesting to see who comes out on top since Wisconsin will have home advantage. Plus it was against Denver where Wisconsin got a disallowed goal that potentially costed them WCHA league points.

Well for the past 3 years(and probably more) Midcontinent Communications(cable provider in most of North Dakota plus parts of Minnesota) has always picked up the ESPN Syndications telecast of the NCAA Regional games that the Fighting Sioux play in. Last year Midcontinent only had to pick up the Michigan-North Dakota match-up since FSN North was going to televise the rest of the regional games(they also televised the Michigan-North Dakota game but it was tape-delayed). So those who have Midcontinent Communications as their cable provider got to watch the Michigan-North Dakota hockey game live. So for those of you who have Midcontinent Communications as your cable provider don't be surprised to see a press release on FightingSioux.com detailing what cities//areas that will be able to watch the NCAA Regional games.

We get to play Princeton. And either Wisconsin//Denver.

I wanted the Sioux to be playing Colorado College but just in a different scenario. Didn't expect playing them in the third place match-up. If the Sioux get their act together then this game is going to be really fun to watch since both teams play quite similar styles. I hope the Sioux can come out strong and beat CC cause it's never good to go into the National Tournament after losing twice the weekend before. Look at Minnesota for instance when they were the #1 overall seed and bowed out of the WCHA Final Five. They all said who cares we're still in the tournament no biggie. And they ended up losing to a Holy Cross team. I really don't wanna see the Sioux having a similar fate.

Well so much for me being fully happy on my birthday. The Sioux were outplayed for the most part against DU. Not until Chorney scored did we show sign of life and the yearning to score another to win the game. I could care less if we don't get a #1 seed in the National Tournament cause wherever we go it's going to be a battle. Right now I think the Sioux need to start playing like they did in the early parts of the streak. Also I don't know if it's just me but I hate Miller being on the top line with Duncan and Oshie. I'm just not impressed by him. He's got speed but that's pretty much it. So much for the chance of hoisting up the Broadmoor. Now we got to rebound tomorrow and have a W going into the regionals. Gotta show that just cause we're out of the championship game doesn't mean we're going to quit playing. None the less GO SIOUX!! Wish you could've gotten the win for me to make my birthday much sweeter but I guess it just wasn't to be.

Wow Derek Shepherd shows once again that he is an idiot. I'm surprised that things didn't get very ugly and bad. One thing I don't understand is why was he allowed to ref the 3rd game of the series? I thought they get a different head referee if a 3rd game is played? Instead of Thul we had Anderson for our 3rd game? Anyways my heart goes out to Mankato State. I hope that they are still able to make it into the National Tournament. But it really would've been good for them to be in the Final Five. Looks like attendance won't be an issue now though at the Final Five.

I agree with you on that. Sucks to lose and I'm sure the players are probably even more bummed about it. I'm sure they'll play their hearts out tomorrow. Interesting that before the unbeaten started we were up 2-0 and ended up losing 3-2 and now the streak was snapped by being up 2-0 and losing 3-2 in OT.

I know Lammy will play the game tomorrow but do you think he'll be a little tired after already playing 2 games which could lessen his performing ability? MTU is in a good situation cause they have a good backup in Nolan and could easily have him start tomorrows game.

Sioux choked that game away. 5.4 seconds away from winning the series. Very idiotic penalty by VandeVelde to make in OT. Tech took advantage and capitalized. Sioux better get there crap together tomorrow or we're going to be on the outside looking in come Final Five time.

With the way the Sioux offense has been playing I think the series will take 3 games but hopefully we have some sort of offensive explosion(I will take note that we faced some good goalies but we missed a lot of opportunities in which we could've//should've scored). It's not like I wouldn't mind a sweep of the series though . Here are my predictions that hold no water: UND vs MTU: Sioux win in three ----------Those other games---------- CC vs UAA: CC sweeps DU vs. UMD: DU in three games MSU vs. UMTC: MSU in three games SCSU vs. UW: UW in three games

Still wish that the Sioux would've won tonight. I work tomorrow and no t.v. or radio to listen to the game . I blame my co-worker for having to go out of town thus making me have to fill in for him. . I better come back home tomorrow night seeing that the Sioux pummeled SCSU then all is good .

With news of Colorado College's imminent win I hope Hakstol doesn't give JPL a break like SCSU did by resting Goepfert on Saturday's game last year(in which we won Saturday's game enabling us to finish the season in 3rd place). We need to win tomorrow for some good momentum even if we no longer have a shot at the MacNaughton Cup for ever how close it was.

It was an "ok" game by the Sioux. The defense was a little shaky in the 2nd and 3rd period. Coughing up the puck and making errant passes. Very lucky that SCSU didn't capitalize on those errors. I was beginning to get annoyed that now whenever the Sioux forwards are down low they are always passing it up to the point for a defenseman to shoot the puck on net. Don't get me wrong it's a good thing to do but I wish they'd also try to center the puck a little more often for a forward. With our chances of getting a share of the MacNaughton possibly dashed I think we just gotta come out tomorrow and play SCSU tough to show that we weren't just playing for that trophy but to finishing a great regular season on a high note for the seniors.

I told my dad that when Sweeney said that UMD was 2-0-6 in Overtime that the Sioux would give them there first OT loss. I hope Genoway isn't to badly hurt. Though with his arm in a sling doesn't look good. I'm glad that Sioux got a little luck because we've on the opposite side of luck more often than not. Glad to take 4 points from Duluth. Bring on St. Cloud State! Going to be a fun last home regular season series. GO SIOUX!!
