  1. Idk about you but bunning is at it again. He is banning cheerleading from hockey games. and still keeping it for b-ball and football. I think this is bull$%!# cuz first hockey generates more money and cheerleaders do a good job and work real hard walking up the steps all nite long. a lot harder then bball or football.

i think we should all email mr.bunning and tell him what we think. a facebook group has 550 members and 75 of them have emialed bunnign so far so i figure if i get soe peopel to email him on ehre we could get it to one hundred.

Are you kidding? If you compare the UND hockey cheer team with the others in the WCHA its pretty obvious that UND's cheerleaders don't really have any skating or cheering talent. You can't even hear them when they are standing right next to you. The cheerleaders from some of the other schools actually have hockey cheerleaders that know how to skate and cheer. I think if UND can't match the quality of what the other schools in our league are doing we are better off without them. Plus I wrote a letter to Bunning last year when they were dressed like a bad scene from Flash Dance and looked really trashy, which I thought was embarrising for the program.

  2. May got a Match penalty for that didn't he. Does that mean the league reviews that one?

Bad reffing and they called off a perfectly good goal. And missed tons of calls. Wish I could have been there tonight. If they make it back to MN maybe I'll have to try to find a ticket.

  3. I have never been to an NHL game before, I have watched it on tv. It's seems a little more fast paced then college hockey.

With the new rules it is a very fast moving game. Wild games at the X are alot of fun but every home game has been sold out since the return of NHL to MN. So getting a ticket here is tough and pricey. So it's not that bad of a deal to see them at the Ralph, tickets seemed alot less expensive and you get the chance to see some of the other players that they are developing. (not that I'm a fan of Danny Irmen but he and Tony Queseda were on the pre-season roster for 06-07)

  4. If anyone has any game pics of Walski & Foyt (this year or past) I would like to make a couple more wallpapers. Thanks.

Thanks to those who posted pictures on this site, the amount of time and effort you put in is greatly appreciated!

I did find a picture of Walski, from the last few min of the home Mankato game. If you are still needing one send me your email and I will try to email it to you.

  5. redwing relax :D a lot of us SIOUX fans actually like the wild and this loss kind of bites. I am not saying your game analysis is wrong just your gloating. IF any WILD fans asks why they lost the key stat in this one. Gaborik - Dmitra - Walz had ZERO shots on goal. I am actually disappointed to see them playing so bad. They are as close to an NHL team that North Dakota has since Winnipeg left so lets not kick dirt on them.

Since David Hale was mentioned earlier on this string I have to ask if anyone besides me thought he played AWFUL today he took some really dumb penalites.

Yeah I agree, Hale did take some dumb penalties and I didn't really see him do any thing spectacular.

The Wild is the only twin city hockey team I like, soo...Those guys better pull their act together or it will be all over but the crying.

  6. Their special teams have been absolutely brutal. What are they, 0 for 6 on the PP with a shortie against, while giving up 2 PP goals on the other end?

Anaheim is getting their PP setup without any resistance, and the Wild are having trouble just dumping the puck on onside.

    It's been hard to watch.

Yeah they look really bad on the penalty kill. Those 10 min misconducts at the beginning of the game didn't really seem to help much. Maybe they can pull it together here at the end of the 3rd.

  7. I can still smell that place today! Fond memories! It was open after the flood; maybe too soon. They never really cleaned up the place that well and the smell went from bad to unbearable!

Still it was a fun place in its day!

Yeah, like when they said they couldn't have ladies night because it was sexist-so they changed it to lipstick night. I loved that place--but looking back it was a pit. But that's what you get when you turn a grocery store into a drinking establishment- a meat market in a different sense. haha

  8. I thought that I had listened to the Coaches' Show online in the past, but can't seem to find the link on fightingisoux.com anymore... anyone know where the link went to when they redesigned the webpage?

On the left side of the screen there is several headings, click multimedia and you should see the links to the broadcasts and video streams.

  9. I'm really sad too. Guess I won't make the trip to St. Louis this year. But Denver Here I come! (And I hope the Sioux will be there too)

I sure hope the DOT line stays, I will miss Porter and Fabian. ( and that new COW Line)

  10. Noooooooooo, don't use Mapquest. We used it in Hawaii and had disastrous results. When I told friends about it, turns out the majority also got bad directions from Mapquest. Yahoo directions are much more reliable.

Rand McNally is also pretty good.

  11. I am still trying to figure out if I could go. I wouldn't be able to leave until about noon on Friday...and my sister bailed out on me so I'm still a solo traveler.

  12. The top three finalist for Hobey Baker are up. Eric Ehn, David Brown and Ryan Duncan.

Go Duncan! I think his chances are good-we are the only team still in the dance with a hobey contender.
