I wish it wern't true. Unfortunately, this might be the worst showing of "development" among seniors in decades.

BSU is a team that is playing loose, physical hockey and having fun. UND is a team without a soul. I'm watching the webcast, and it is more than apparent. End of 2nd. 1-3 score.

Schneider on the 4X3 PP. Sioux looking a little more energetic, now. I can't say I'm very optimistic though. Assits: Genoway & Zajac

Announcers saying BSU "doing an excellent job defensively." I'd have to agree. Although our team this year may never score another goal. We look terrible on offense. Terrible.

This game is a joke. Bring in someone from the USHL who wants to play with some fire. Seriously. Anybody.

Our only noticable players in the first period were: Zajac Spirko Marvin I always expect a good performance out of those guys, but where the hell is the rest of the team?

BSU has played a great physical game so far. And guess what, they are parking in front of our net, and no one is picking up that man. I haven't seen such a poor defensive "performance" since the first period of the big satellite party fiasco vs minny.

All I can say is...What a worhless period. Is Schneider sick, or does he just not care anymore? How can 3 point blank, untouched opportunities happen for BSU right in front of Phil?

The way I see it, even with Fuher, Greene, & Murray out of the lineup tonight, UND still has around 8 "A Players" on the 20 man roster (impact players). If I had to guess, I'd bet BSU has maybe 3. UND should outshoot them badly. And, perhaps the Sioux will finally find the back of the net more often.

Oh! Man. That was wrong. I'm traumatized.

What happened? Three hours until I get to enjoy a good, old-fashioned beatin'.

Just want to get the thread started. The way UND played against CC, I think they are going to smoke BSU tonight. Let's hope so. Here is an opportunity for Fylling, Canady, & Massen to turn the corner on their senior seasons. Here is a chance for Phil to be rewarded for a good game in goal with a "W." Go Sioux!

I was at all the WJC games. Lee didn't play much. However, he may be suffering a "WJC Hangover." The WJC's allow a lot more clutching, grabbing, hooking, and slashing than college hockey, let alone HS. He is probably going to be more assertive from now on, given his experiences there.

While at the WJC's, I heard that BB games are still taking place at the Ralph primarily to please suite holders. If that is the case, give each suite holder a set of prime tickets at the Betty. The Ralph hurts the atmosphere of BB games, which need a tight, loud crowd. And, of course, the ice issue would improve.

I've also seen many of those games. To me, it doesn't seem like the teams from the last 4 years had the same sense of drive and purpose as some of the teams that were so memorable. The 2000 team was really similar to this team in their experience/age. The difference was that Goren, Panzer, & B. Lundbohm had great seasons. They stepped up and improved from season to season. That has not been the case with any of the juniors/seniors this year. McMahon and Genoway are doing pretty well, but not any better than last year. Where is the drive and development???

Exactly. The player in the off corner needs to head to the net. There should rarely be 3 players behind the net. It leaves you too vulnerable, and gives you no pass option. Hak is travelling to assess players. Whomever he is watching, that is a good attribute.

Did I mention that I SMOKED my oldest friend in the world at AIR HOCKEY at "THE Q" the same night we took the photo of the church. Oh, that was fun! Kudos, Grand Forks, for pulling off a damn good tournament. Kudos, also, to all the volunteers that made it happen. Lastly, congrats to the Ralph. All those drunken, obnoxious Canadians must have spent a bundle! Let's hope it helps future Sioux teams.

Even the CC commentators noticed that the Sioux forecheck doesn't work. They said something to the effect of "The Sioux cycle the puck well, but no one crashes the net." That is UND's biggest misfunction, IMO. UND works the puck into the opponents' end. They push it around behind the net 2 or 3 times. A defenseman steals it, and the play goes back the other way. No shot for UND. No attempt to throw it to a crashing player in front. Ineffective forecheck. Ineffective offense. Go Sioux. Fix it!

The one theme that keeps rearing its ugly head this season is the Sioux can't score. They have the role players to move the puck to the offensive zone. They have the grit to keep the shots on goal in their favor most games. The sad fact is. This team can't score. This team can't score. this team can't score. Another shutout. I'd like to hear the last time UND had this many. Has it happened in decades?

Damn it! This team is so frustrating. Talent, but no results.

Please, not another shutout. Have there ever been so many?
