  1. Flatspin7,

    Hopefully you will continue to post on these boards after you move back. Do some football recruiting in the Jersy area for the Gopher football team. There is alot of great football talent in that state. Maybe you can go to the Fleet center next April and watch the Gophers and the Sioux mix it up. ;):huh:

  2. If I didn't care what the Sioux fans were talking about, I wouldn't be on this board. I had a sleepless night last night. I thought it was because I was soooooo fired up about the great OT win. Maybe it was because of the rejection of certain Sioux fans. :);):):)

  3. I must say I am a little suprised that there is no talk about the all-american squad. Even I will admitt I thout Bochinski would make 1st team. I can see Senja and Kunitz making it, but Clark over Bochinski, I don't think so. Maybe next year we will see some Gophers and Sioux back on the first team.

  4. I dont know if a lot of you remeber last season (Boch's Freshman year) some St. Cloud fans made "Bochenski Bucks". Very creative. :)

    I am sooooooooooooo glad no one at Mauricci pulled that. I might add, that I am surprised no one did. When I was 18-19 there were things that I did that I would not want the public to know about.

  5. That'd be a pretty damn good line. Though I do think that Pohl is overrated, great player...just a little overrated (Gopher fans, this goes back to his high school days at Red Wing, not because he was a Gopher).

    Just the facts.....Last year he lead the nation in scoring. If that is being overrated, I'm confused. :D

  6. I think the announced attendance for the game was 9,4??. A sell out is just over 10K. Since some tickets were sold to fans from ND and Mercyhurst, I think they had a pretty good crowd. In two years when ND gets beat in the first round, we will see how many ND fans show up to watch Minnesota beat CC.

  7. The one thing working in UND's favor, especially if Minnesota repeats, is that they will get to fly below the radar, so to speak, because everyone will be bringing their A game and gunning to knock off the Gophers.

    This is nothing new for the Gophers. It seems most years that teams come out gunning for us. Now you say, that arrogant Gopher fan. Why do they think like that. If you have a final five program from this year take a look at the interview from the 10 team captains. 6 of the captains say they like to beat the Gophers more than any other WCHA team. Potulny is the ONLY captain that said he liked beating N.D. the most. :D;)

  8. Hopefully he sticks around one more year at least. I hate it when these kids sign early and then get sent to the minors for several years. No way Zach is ready for the NHL, he needs to get stronger. Might as well stay in school and enjoy it. You are only in school for a few years, so make the most out of it.

  9. :(:):D:(???:D

    When Grant got his hat trick last night the hats poured onto the ice. The ref skated over to the PA guy and had him announce "if anything else is thrown on the ice the home team would get a 2 minute penalty". I coulnd't believe it. We are talking about hockey tradition here. Your player gets a hat trick, you throw a hat on the ice.

    :):(:D:):)

  10. I heard that all of the season ticket holders had first priorities to the seats and the same day they went on sale all they had left was standing room only, is this true? This isn't fair if this is the case.

    This is not true. I am a season tickey holder and was able to get my tickets last Sept. when I ordered my season tickets. There were about 7500 ticket packages sold at that time. The other 2500 tickets have been on sale from around January. It wasn't until 2-3 weeks ago that it has been close to a sellout with only standing room and a few single seats. In North Dakota's case, by the time you found out which reginal you were going to the place was a sellout (Minus a few seats). I guess the host team should have to save some tickets for the visiting schools, but at this point the NCAA does not require that and the host school wants to sell the place out as fast as they can.

  11. UND will make it.

    just will prolly be a 4 seed and will have to beat a #1 seed

    You mean if your a 2 or 3 seed, you get to go directly to the frozen four and don't have to play a #1 seed :);):D

  12. This is from a Gopher fan, so I know you probably don't care. I want to wish you guys luck in Sundays game. I just think the final five will be a better tourney if you guys are there instead of Denver.

  13. Now that things are finally set, and it went to the last game before 6 teams knew who they were playing:

    #10 UAA at #1 CC

    #9 MI Tech at #2 MN (gophers win tie-break with Mavericks)

    #8 WI at #3 MSU-Mankato

    #7 Denver at #4 UND

    #6 St Cloud at #5 UMD

    =======================

    Predictions?

    =======================

    GO SIOUX!!!!

    CC in 2

    Mn. in 2

    Mankato in 3

    Sioux in 3

    SCCC in 3

  14. That will drop the Sioux to 4th place, and now they're in a battle for home ice. May come down to having to sweep Wisco to get a home playoff series.

    If all you have to do is sweep Becky for home ice, you are as good as in.. This might be the worse Becky team I have ever seen and I have been watching the WCHA since 1971.

  15. Guys you have to look at the source. The original statement was made by KFAN. They are a joke PA doesn't know what a Hockey puck looks like and Dubay is to busy tripping over the cheerleader trying to get a interview with Riddle. UND is off to a great start and thats what you should focus on. You are doing better than I thought you would be doing at this time. I think the one negative for you so far is all the home games you have played. If you can keep this pace up on the road, then you are the real deal. We all know though that it is tough on the road in the WCHA. Good luck to you, except when you are playing the Gophers. I will miss the series in January. I will be in San Diego on a golf course. (I couldn't help it, it was the only time my wife could get off work.)
