thanks Star2City, I was wondering if they did or didnt. I was reading the link you provided. On page six its mentioned again. somebody says the Seminoles do get royalty payments. If they do I would think that would legitimize the use of the image.

I always felt the issue should hinge on royalty payments. Pay royalties to the image owner and its ok, its a business deal. Apparently not? Is it true the Seminoles pay royalties? If they do, and the deal is consensual between the owners of the image and the University. I dont see how it can be restricted. Unless of course, the NCAA is asking to approve all member sponsorship agreements, or simply approving for use broad categories of sponsorships and restricting other categories like this one.

Im sorry, but adding the personal comment is a little out of line. I will refrain from that sort of thing since the discussion has to do with athletic budgets at universities not personalities. Im sure Jim agrees. Despite the dire warnings (and unsavory dispersions) Im reading from a few posters here the overall picture for NDSU athletics is very good. Our programs are in a new division, young, strong with lots of untapped revenue sources not available to us as a mature DII program. UND on the other hand has mature programs in Division II and hockey of course, all with little remaining untapped revenues. Besides raising ticket prices, your best bet for revenue growth is to try and get some games in Fargo. I don

Hey, you guys do alright. Really, good team and everything. When NDSU moves outside to 35.000 seats you guys could rent out the Fabulous Fargo Dome for your really big games, otherwise you have the perfect stadium. Yes, it is me, but I just want to fit in ok? haahahahaha

I dont know, with NDSU football as big as it is there isnt really any place for us to grow. Maybe NW Minnesota where our hockey rep is ok? Otherwise, I dont think our football attendance is that good.

Its not a double edge sword. We have made it an entitlement. NDSU should use it to the same extent we do. Why wouldnt they? whos to care? Certainly not us

GF and Fargo arent really anything alike. Fargo is far more urban and will really make that apparent in the next decade. They just seem to have reached the critical mass that makes it a boom town. Its highly unlikely that the population drain in ND is all going to Fargo and thats the sole reason for its growth. Fargo has people coming in from all over the world all the time. There was just a article on that in the fool em but the link is long gone. My guess is that Bismark is getting as much or more influx from the small towns as Fargo and thats probably why we should get Mary into the NCC as soon as possible. Bismark will be the third largest city in the state after Fargo and West Fargo in a few short yrs.

I think NDSU and SDSU both are certanties for the BSC. some schools are in favorable locations. We are not. Wheather or not we are going to get some kind of free ride from the efforts of NDSU or SDSU is pure speculation. If we ever move we are going to pay our way not them. If we ever make it in the reason will be that the Bison and several other BSC schools have moved up to DI-A. I think NDSU will certainly move to DI-A football within 15 yrs or outgrowing the FargoDome, whichever comes first. I dont know why we always feel we have to keep up or catch up with them? They moved on and we didnt. We did the right thing and so did they. We just arent ready and may never be.
