Can you imagine how terrible a look that would be PR wise?

this isn't to get like super into the weeds of heat stroke, but this isn't just an "oxygen" issue/breathing issue. But basically, exertional heat stroke-->massive overheating-->cardiac output tries to keep up (send blood to surface , often shunting blood away from core/across organs) to try cool the body through surface exchange--> cardiac output cannot keep up and we sweat, dropping our central venous pressure (which is important for systemic perfusion)--> brain overheats along with this-->brain swells (amongst all the other systemic inflammatory issues). The above is part of why it doesn't take "stopping breathing" to get really, really severe brain injuries as the cerebral edema can be catastrophic (in this and many other conditions). He was highly likely in trouble well before passing out and any athletic training team should've noticed that. It's part of why the breaks and water are absolutely imperative

as a gopher fan who has no desire to see a league game played on likely trash ice, i'm very ok with this. Outdoor games are unique (at least previously) and all, but think it's an opportunity to have it between non-con foes rather than what the B10 is doing (UND-MN or UND-WI would be fun as would MN-DU or any of the western teams vs the BU/BC options)

I mean if this is real rather than just his attorney pushing a narrative... is ASU at risk of cancelling/forfeiting their season? getting awfully tight to the season and don't see how you could keep any of the staff in this type of situation if there truly are players saying the anonymous comments provided obviously quite unprecedented, but i don't see how any player would be comfortable taking the ice if this is true

will be curious to see if ASU tries to railroad Ziesel or the ASU staff and who specifically made the workout (was it Ziesel or did Ziesel give the ATs a list of what he was thinking and they made the workout). Would assume it was Ziesel based on his history, but that's the part we don't have detail on supposedly not the first time Ziesel has led this type of class. They're always cookie-cutter/the same. it really shouldn't be that hard to obtain the demo of it if it is his plan/program. think the joy of it for any athlete these are going to sound pretty similar to things that you did during 2 a days back in the day/typical for summer training, but when you bring in someone outside you expose yourself to issues seems like a nice way for ASU to fire Powers for cause and get a better coach lol

This is 100% how I would want my program run as well. You're also going to be far more apt to get guys who want to be there for non-money reasons to come back for extra years, and we all know in college hockey the "bonus" year players are essential to winning titles and guys focused on money are culture killers (have to imagine is a big reason for the exodus at PSU this last offseason)

Long time lurker, finally decided to make a post as I really appreciate the fandom here and discussion, especially in the "offseason" Some of you may recognize the name if you happen to drop by periodically over on GPL (I promise, I come in peace. Went to school at UND and respect the hell out of the program at North Dakota, even if they're not my team) Think the above is the mix of it being the weekend, tournaments going on, CHL issue, and a ton of coaches trying to figure out class balance with guys getting more years. So unless it's your dream school no matter what, probably makes sense for most guys to wait unless you're in it for the academic side (think it's why Yale has been active unless it's all those righteous bucks their venture capital founder HC is throwing around). Probably going to see a little more of what Fitzhenry and Schneider did last year around the board and is why I'm all in with Schloss they should just put back the commit date. Would be better for both player and school
