  1. Lets see how many Denver fanscome out for this series. When i was down there a few years ago they were celebrating a sellout streak, About half the seats were full. It might as well been empty because nobody cheered unless there was a goal and that was pretty subdued. The Sioux fans were twice as loud. 5-3 Sioux Win tonight! George goes ape and starts throwing stuff on the ice like a five year old.

    Go Sioux!

  2. Yes, it says it is on tape delay on the gophers schedule.

Thanks! Didn't we start 0-3 last year? Erly in the season for Gopher fans to be jumping off the ledge! They are playing some pretty good teams! UND and Denver! If they get swept by tech and Mankato then it might be time to hit the panic button!

  3. Gopher players realize that in order to win they need to put the black circle thing into the net, but think when they do this, they win the game, and leave the ice. Not realizing its the second period and they are already down by three. Lucia "Encourages" the players to retake the ice but the players ignore him and load the bus thinking they won. Woog blames the Flu.

Game Forfeit in the 2nd by the Goofs. 3-1 Sioux!

  4. I was a bad student and didnt go to the Football game. I had to work till 12 and had alot of homework to do. the game goes till four the hockey game starts at 7 (5 to get a good seat). Plus the thought does come to the mind that there are no playoffs, $5 to park, and i knew the crowd would be asleep because they were when we played South Dakota and it was sold out! Most students get bored at football games. I love watching but the students around me know nothing about our team let alone the other team. Until we get a conference and have to win to make the playoffs, students will use there time to study, drink or get some sleep. I will be in line for the hockey game at about three so i will try to be at the football game till halftime this week.

  5. I'm curious about yout stadium set-up. How many does it seat? How much do general admissions tickets cost for your games? Is this the stadium I've read about that is basically indoors? That climate up there must be hell on late season games.

Tickets for the UND game in Lubbock were $55 I think. I paid the same for the Rice and Kansas games, but Oklahoma and Texas A&M are $95. Ouch!!

Here is a quick summary and a few pictures.

Students get free tickets. Im not positive on general Admission.

  6. Now you got me started....

DU Fans. They're about the quietest, most boring fans in all of college hockey. They spend their time sitting on their hands. Unknowledgable also. Just horrible fans. They bore me. You could take a nap in that arena. The only thing that would wake you up is a few hard checks you might hear from their defensemen.

CC fans...that's another story. They rock! I always have a great time in The Springs! But, I hate the Denver crowd. Boring, boring, boring bunch. No wonder that announcer got her panties in a wad. She's used to quiet, boring DU hockey. Well sweetheart, welcome to the real world. If you can't stand the hear, get outta our kitchen!

Gwoz's actions this past year make me wish beyond all wishes that we sweep them in Denver. What a boor. What a maroon.

Agreed. Denver fans were half as loud as the Sioux fans in there own arena!!! When they score a goal, they play music louder than the crowd and a handfull might stand. Cant wait for the Denver Series. Lets go Sioux!!!

  7. Am I the only one that can't get fired up over a meaningless exhibition game with Manitoba? Still, fifteen days 'till the games count is pretty exciting too!

Its Fighting Sioux Hockey!!! Do you think it would be meaningless if we lost that game?;) People would be jumping ship sooner than the last four years! I just want to see them play even if its against the Bisons. SO 10 DAYS!

  8. Ten Days!

    ;)

Jan. 10, 1948 -- UND crashes into the big-time of college hockey when it stuns the Michigan Wolverines 6-5 in Ann Arbor. Strong defense and a pair of goals each from John Noah, Gordon (Ginny) Christian and Tom Medved key the big win. Noah scores the winning goal at 19:14 of the third period. Bob Murray stops 34 Michigan shots in the UND net
