  1. no go so far, anywhere (you are not alone)
  2. How about some game commentary from someone that's listening to TH? PLEASE
  3. LGS, it is not the "Notre Dame logo", it is the interlocking ND logo. Please refrain from referring to it as such. Failure to do so may result in the University of North Dakota taking legal action against you. If anything, Notre Dame should refer to it as the University of North Dakota logo.
  4. The question is: Even if it's implemented, will they use it? Ass-clown crap-sack Todd Anderson refused to use it this year when the Sioux were at CC (player preceding the puck into the crease on a Sioux goal). Maybe that's not a reviewable call. If not, it should be. I know, I know, shithead ruled that he was not pushed in and what needed to be reviewed was not whether he preceded the puck into the crease, but whether he was pushed in. The former may be reviewable, but not the latter. IMHO both should be reviewable.
  5. Name ONE college hockey uni you consider to be better than the old Sioux 'hawk unis.
  6. Just MHO but I disagree. I am not a fan of the UND flame logo. Don't know why, I'm just not. The Sioux hockey unis used to be blatant rip-offs of the Blackhawks, but they were the best (IMHO) college unis EVER!
  7. While it's never bad for the dirty yellow vermin to struggle, it would mean a hell of a lot more if the Sioux could take advantage of it. To date, they have not and I fear that's something that won't change. My questions are: Are the vermin showing urgency or are they panicking? Are the Sioux staying calm in a crisis or are they past caring? I hope it's the latter and former, respectively, but time will tell.
  8. Screw Notre Dame and what everyone knows. UND had it first and there is no reason not to continue using it. Different is not necessarily better. Please do not refer to it as the Notre Dame logo. As a Sioux fan you should know better.
  9. I hate that sawed-off crap-sack Gwozdecky and I love Sandy, but I have to root for DU for the sake of my Sioux. If it's of any comfort, I think UMD might be hitting DU just at the right time. Their streak has to end some time, and they are definitely getting big heads.
  10. I agree, the more green and white the better. Use black only as a thin line to help highlight and define edges. Let's go old school! Take the "SIOUX" lettering off the front, make the Indian-head logo bigger, go with horizontal stripes instead of the diagonal ones, go with string laced necks, and put the crossed 'hawks back on the shoulders (maybe one shoulder w/ the interlocked UND and the other w/ the crossed 'hawks)!
  11. The better question is, would they deserve to? Don't get me wrong, I want the boys in the national tournament, but I want them going in with momentum and I want them to make some noise when they get there.
  12. How was the reception last weekend for the Denver Series? I wasn't in town for it.
  13. With the NHL out of business, there should be some high grade ice officials out of work. Give them jobs calling WCHA games and fire the clowns we currently have.
  14. I saw Mannino's quote in the Herald. I knew when I read "it was well in front of the line" he was full of steaming feces. I have yet to see a direct quote from the goal judge, or from Colby for that matter. I had a great angle at it , and although I wasn't nearly as close as the goal judge, I cannot conceive how it could have been an optical illusion. I may be wrong (I freely admit I'm biased in favor of the Sioux), but I'd have to see video confimation of it, because right now I'd absolutely swear that puck was entirely over the line. It was a bang-bang play, but it was in. That convo between the goal judge and Shepherd was of such length that it further adds suspicion to the whole incident. For Pete's sake, how long does it take to say "I hit the switch too soon and the puck wasn't quite in". I think Shepherd worked on him and made him change his mind or flat out told him he was wrong. I stand by my conviction that Derek Shepherd is badly in need of dental surgery via blunt force trauma.
  15. I totally agree, that puck was entirely over the line. Plenty of white between the puck and the back side of the goal line. I don't know if Shepard was not in position or what, since I was too busy celebrating and didn't think to look. Apparently the TV replay was inconclusive, but I know that puck was in. I guarantee the goal judge said it was in when that horse's ass Shepard consulted with him and Shepard then overruled him. I was hoping Hak was going to call him over to the bench, and then knock out some of his teeth when he got there. Totally and completely inexcusable. It's time the member schools' ADs got together and demand that McClod fires Greg Shepard and then fire all of the orange stripes presently serving, or at the very least, Shepard, T. Anderson and Adam. Then they should give McClod his walking papers. The WCHA is the premier league in the NCAA with the best programs, coaches, rinks, and ATTENDANCE. The quality of officiating in the league is absolutely disgraceful. As a rule, I don't blame the officials for losses, but I will say that in this game, officiating was a factor. It's really hard to believe that Shepard was trying to be impartial. He calls UND for all sorts of penalties behind the play and did not risk the health of a player or lead to a breakaway, turnover, scoring chance, or a denial of a scoring chance. A DU player throws a wicked elbow in his crease, then follows it up with an unbelievably wicked overhand two-hander to a Sioux player's head, this all right around the puck, and...nothing. It's just sad. I am beyond the ability to further comment.
  16. I just don't have a good feeling about this weekend. I think it's because, as Sprig states above, the boys just haven't gotten it all working at the same time this year, with maybe the exception of the first UMD game. Here's hoping they find the magic starting this weekend. On the other hand, I have a hard time believing that Denver is as advertised. They lost their stud forward (James), goaltender (Berkhoel) [sp?] and defenseman (Caldwell). In fact, Caldwell must have had more minutes last year than either of the DU goalies. He was always on the ice! I have never been impressed with how a DU team plays. It's all hooking, holding and holding the stick. That 's how Gwozdecky (sp?) coaches. I've never been impressed with that little troll (Gwoz) either. I hope the boys are big time motivated to avenge last spring in the Springs. I sometimes wonder if there is anything that motivates this team though.
  17. Yes, but does he drink any less?
