Agree, but not sure a complete overhaul is needed. There is or was some talent (SS), maybe not enough. But more wr speed, utilizing the TEs, some QB accuracy along with a legitimate OC would certainly help. OL?

Why do other teams "improve" while we regress? Injuries and depth or is it coaches lose creativity and become predictable?

SS and Fleming will definitely be missed. If SS ends up a Gopher I will have numerous oppties to watch him.......assuming he sees the field other than as a return guy. Fleming likely looking for warmer weather. I reluctantly wish them well, but I doubt they'll stand out like they have in the MVFC.

I wonder does the coaching staff do exit interviews on these kids to get an idea why some of them thrive and love the program perhaps in spite of limited playing time while others just can't wait to get out of here even if playing a lot. Is this the world we live in today, instant gratification and greed? Would like to see a profile chart of real reasons for leaving.

Essentially what I said yesterday about following BB format for minor leagues.

Really disappointed in these kids. You get excited, want to support them, and they're gone. 1% of college FB players get drafted. Another half % may get a look see. If you're transferring because of weather, personality conflict, family reason or moving down for play time, ok fine. But unless you were a bonafide 3.5+ star in HS your odds of making a living in FB are damn low. Enjoy college. It's the best 4-5 years of your life.

This process is why I will not give one damn dime to UND or any other school. The whole damn NCAA athletic process is a sham. Let's just set up professional leagues and call it what it is. NFL, FBS, FCS, D2,D3 just like the Major league baseball teams do. Draft and sign kids out of HS and have them progress up thru the farm system. If they go take some classes along the way fine, but don't worry about getting an education or loyalty. It's all about the Benjamins in todays world anyway. It's no fun anymore being a fan.

I vote we return to sanity. Leave NIL, but must sit out a year if you go.
