  1. For those of you who get Sportsnet New York, the Hockey East semis will be 2 and 7 eastern on March 16 and the championship game will be at 2:00 on March 17.

I think the TV schedule must be wrong -- the Hockey East semi-finals take place on Friday, the 16th at 5 and 8 p.m. ET, and the championship game starts at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, the 17th. We'll be there dressed in Sioux ... Go Sioux!!!

  2. You wouldn't happen to be the Sioux fan I see in Section 114/115 all the time would you? The first couple seats of I'd say maybe Row G or H?

Yes -- except I'm next to the Sioux fan with the jersey on each game. We've run into others wearing North Dakota hats/shirts at the games, too, and one game I saw someone wearing a USA Parise sweater from the World Jrs in the student section (male). I'm from N.Dakota originally. My companion wearing the Sioux jersey (and BU hat) is from Massachusetts and grew up following BU. We cheer for BU each game (unless they play UND...).

You are probably right on Quinnipiac. I really hope BU and UND schedule something in each others' arenas, though. Since I started watching BU games ('98), BU and ND have only played in tournaments (GLI one year, NCAA Regionals, etc. I guess they would have played in Dartmouth this year if the ref hadn't called that penalty shot in OT...).

  3. There's nothing wrong with UNH or Maine, but I have to tell you that the BU fans have really treated my group great when we're at games and sporting the Sioux logo. I hear, "The Sioux are great" or "We love the Sioux" all the time. It hasn't happened just once or twice -- many, many times over the years. There's a lot of respect for the Sioux. You can just tell.

It's also really fun to watch a game at Agganis. The students get to stand behind the goals at each end of the arena, and they're loud, creative, and add a lot of excitement to the game. It makes me wish that the UND students could stand behind the goals, too -- but I know that's another topic discussed over and over already.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand -- I hope the Sioux do come out east. Keep us posted those of you with the inside scoop.

  4. Bochenski has been awesome! It's so much fun to watch him play. He knows where he should be and just makes plays... The B's are on a long road trip now and apparently all the players are bringing their dads with them on the trip. Fun time to be a B's dad....

  5. The rest that you list are pretty out of reach. The closest would be if we went about 1.000 and Maine went about .500, we could overtake them on RPI. Their quality road wins are really helping them; we would otherwise be about equal.

Unfortunately, I think we are responsible for Maine's "quality road wins." BUT ... that was early in the season and we're a different team now.

I say we just keep winning so we don't have to worry about what else COULD happen. Concentrate on one game at a time. Starting with tonight...

    GO SIOUX!!

  6. Last night, the Bruins announcers couldn't stop talking about Bochenski always being where the puck was. "When you're a natural goal scorer, the puck seems to follow you around, and it's certainly been following Brandon Bochenski around." Reply: "That's positioning and being where you are supposed to be, and Bochenski is where he is supposed to be. Right in front of the net." They kept commenting on it over and over.

I really hope he can keep it up -- it's made it pretty exciting to watch the Bruins.... (Between the Bruins and the Celtics things have been pretty dismal out here... The Celtics are shooting for 16 -- or is it 17 -- losses in a row.)
