Good for Legacy pulling out the win over Minot. They seem to be catching their stride at the right time of year. They have come a long way since week 1. I'm hoping Legacy and Minot are able to make for at least 2 interesting day 1 games at state this year. Good to see Grafton beat WF. They now have wins over FN and WF keeping them in the mix of the middle of the EDC. Imagine how well they'd be doing if kids didnt leave early! DL is hurting right now and they have a rough stretch on the schedule in front of them to boot. They'll still be down 2 of their top 6 forwards for a bit longer. I think the injured Hogness should be back in about 3-4 games, and they'll only get Nelson back for their reg season finale. Looks like they might only win 3 more games this reg season and will end up fighting with GPR and Shanley for 6th to avoid the play-in game. But oddly enough, having a play-in game to get Nelson and Hogness some extra game time before EDC would actually benefit them... RR and GFC are flexing their muscles late in the season as always so it looks like yet another year of GF vs GF unless someone surprises us. RR is still a little hit or miss but I'd still put my money on them as the #2 over anyone else. WFSH and Davies appeared to be strong 1-2 candidates but that went away pretty quickly.

Yeah now that I'm looking back, their first meeting was closer than I remembered. One goal game with pretty even shots (DL 36 to Shanley 27). DL has their starting goalie back but still has 2 of their top 6 forwards out so it could be a completely different game if Shanley is healthy. And Shanley just about took down Davies 2 nights ago so they seem to be playing better. Feels like WFS is either going to beat RR or lose by 10 lol. I don't know why.

WF over GPR 4-3 DL over Shanley 5-4 MP over RLF 5-1 RR over WFS 4-2 Legacy over Minot 3-2 Mandan over Hazen 8-0

Feb 7th it ends so 8th and beyond. So Nelson just gets one game before EDC I believe. Basketball has a bigger buffer- like 5-6 reg season games.
-
I did not expect FN to beat Davies wow. They are all over the place. They beat Davies but lost 12-1 to RR? They beat Minot 4-1 and Legacy 8-3 but lost to Grafton 3-2? Boom or bust team of the year!

Has anyone heard how teams are doing injury wise? DL's starting goalie has been out 2-3 games with a minor leg injury but he should be back soon. But they also lost a top 6 forward to a shoulder injury last week on top of losing Nelson for 6 weeks, so being down those 3 have sunk DL's productivity. They have big back to back games against fargo north next week, which will likely decide who gets the #5 spot. I haven't heard of any key injuries for any other team's yet but I'm sure they're out there.

Yes for sure. And I forget how the regionals work for 1A basketball but I'm guessing they will be in the same boat of bad placement instead of running the table in the toughest region.

Yea 2 boys hockey players, one of which was the leading scorer and was on pace to break the school career points record...and the 2 top-dawgs twins from the boys bball team who were ranked #1 and undefeated at the time (they have lost 2 games since and dropped from rankings) and at least 1 starter from the girls bball team and the girls hockey starting goalie. It was like they decided to only invite all the most pivotal players from each team lol. Thankfully, all of them will be back at the end of the regular season for a few games before post season starts, but still a horrible derailment for all 4 varsity teams. My guesses for tonight - Minot over DL 3-1 Mayport over Bagley 5-2 Dickinson over Hazen 7-0 WFS over Grafton 7-1 RR over Shanley 6-2
-
yeah it was a 6 point game but the site just has it wrong.
-
GF teams put up some eye popping numbers tonight sheesh…
-
Good win for the jays!

DL 6-0 over GPR. DL’s sophmore backup goalie with a 31 save shutout (starter has minor leg injury). Minot 5-3 over Williston (was 3-3 in the 3rd) Jamestown leading century 2-1 late 3rd.
-
Tonight's predictions DL over GPR 4-2 BC over Jamestown 3-2 Minot over Williston 6-2 DL's Nelson is out for 6 weeks (5 remaining) for a minor, so he'll miss essentially the remainder of the regular season but will be back for post season play. Big loss for DL to lose their top scorer who plays well with Stromme.

Minot has been a surprise to me this year. Despite staying as 1 team, I thought losing that top line from last year would cause them to drop off pretty hard, but they seem pretty solid. Their early losses to FN and FD seem to be far behind them as they throttled a pretty good WF squad 6-0 last week. Probably took them a bit to find their footing.
-
they're in a nose dive right now though for whatever reason. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose to Davies today and RR next after the beat down GFC just gave them. Does EGF have some major injuries or what happened?
-
North Dakota teams are 18-6 vs Minnesota teams so far this year. Guessing it'll be 25-8 after today... And that's with EGF, TRF, Warroad, Roseau and Alexandria in the mix.

6-1 century over roch mayo final WF over river lakes 3-2
-
GFC 13-0 over Notre dame of west haven…woof century leading Rochester mayo 3-1 great night for NDHSH sheesh.
-
RR over warroad 4-2 mayport over LOW 10-1 legacy is up 12-0 over Marshall mn so far alex over WFS 6-4 guessing central will beat warroad tomorrow too.
-
Looks like GPR is playing in a TRF holiday tournament that starts today. They play Crookston today and TRF tomorrow. Assuming they will beat Crook and lose to TRF.
-
Davies 9-6 over DL…what the heck lol FN 4-2 over WF WFS over Shanley 6-0
-
A few games tonight before the short break. All 3 will be pretty big for the EDC standings battles. DL vs Davies, FN vs WF and WFS vs Shanley. All 3 should be tight, but does anyone have predictions? I'll go with Davies over DL 3-2, WF over FN 4-2 and WFS over Shanley 5-2.
-
And now they got spanked by GFC to boot. I'd bet money RR is going to beat this time around now too.
-
Looks like Mayport is 5-1 vs Minnesota teams and 0-3 vs North Dakota teams. Judging by their schedule which is mostly filled by A minnesota teams, they are going to end up having a 15 or 16 win season. Good for them. Another sign that there are a lottttt of really bad 1A varsity hockey teams in Minnesota. Hence why Wahp has been so successful playing there after 2 decades of 0 win seasons in the EDC.

Wow that is a crappy way to lose. McKenna just did that for team Canada the other night.
