Are you talking Freshman Brady or senior Brady?   This year has been the best shooting Brady has done since he came here.  I always said if he could develop a shot he would be a starter.  This year he did develop that shot.  And I love Brady dont get me wrong, but Brooks has way more upside in the future then Brady.

I don't disagree with you... if we're talking about upside and potential, yes Brooks has more upside and potential than Brady... Most guys on the team have more upside and potential than Brady.. One of Brady's best gifts is maxing out his talent and potential... if Brooks can do that then yes, UND  will have a whale of a player on their hands.

Exactly. And Brady gets praised for it and everyone wants him to come back! But now that we have it in Brooks we write him off because he didn't shoot 40% from three as a true freshman. Brooks is more athletic, a better defender, better offensively, better size, strength. True D1 Player. Make it make sense....

Elijah is not a better offensive player than Brady. Brady has really good feel and a way better passer. Brooks being a better defensive player is debatable at best, IMO.

How do you want to play offensive basketball with Jalun, Elijah, BJ (30% from 3) and a non shooter at the 5?

    Right.....

Brooks strength is he has a great ability to finish at the rim and he's a + defender with athleticism and strength... would be great if he wants to stay... IF he wants to leave, then you thank him his service and go find someone else..

Brooks has a very high ceiling. Sure it may not be as high as Omot or Eaglestaff but he can develop into a good player. Look at how he played at the end of the season compared to the beginning. He took big steps and played really well off the bench. He will only get better with time. He can develop a jump shot in the offseason with the right coaching and help.

he was 2-9 this year from 3 and he's got some major hitches going on... Reality is his ceiling is probably a guy like cortez seales. Tez was 12-53 his sr year after going back and looking at his stats...

Sure UND would love to keep Elijah and see if he can get better.. Usually bad shooters are bad shooters and can maybe improve to below average.

Brooks is the least of our worries. He can't shoot. The other two are definitely a big worry as far as talent/potential go.

Yeah makes it tough to play Brooks and Trent on the floor together... Brooks is able to do his thing more when Eaglestaff is at point. Plus if they get a "rim running" 5 like some have speculated.. that takes both Trent and Brooks off the floor.. can't have 3 guys on the floor that can't shoot a lick.

agreed....this tourney in SF is too long....favors usd and sdsu...need these games on campus

    Never going to happen.

All session passes for the whole week are nearly sold out a month in advance. They don't care who it favors... and only the SDSU men are still alive in the Semi's anyways so that argument is null and void.

If it goes to campuses then you will get the schools complain that they have to figure out a way to get to Macomb on a Wednesday. No format is perfect.. but this format makes money for the league...

Summit league isn't going to move off this format.

Bill Chaves has spoken everyone! Sather isn't going anywhere! Lifetime contract!

In all seriousness though, I highly doubt they let him go this offseason. Although, him crying in the postgame presser asking to get a chance to coach them again next year was a little odd. Who knows what will happen!

I don't think you are going to get your wish for a few more years.

  8. Will be interested to see what takes place in the 2 weeks following the end of UND's season.

Players that are for sure gone:

    Mitchell Sueker

    Caleb Nero

And I believe Nicholson is no longer in school

Players that could come back and use covid year:

    Brady Danielson- 1 year left

    Matt Norman- 1 year left

    T- 1 year left

    Treysen-SO

    BJ- SO

    Elijah- SO

    Ajahni-SO

    Mathews- JR

    Trent- SR

    Reid- JR

    Incoming guys:

    Doppler

    Erikson

    Bothun-PWO

I believe everyone here would like BJ to stay and any sane person could see that he is at the right level... but the people that have these kids' ear away from the program are not sane... I would be shocked if BJ goes to Minnesota.. while his ppg average is impressive for a freshman.. his percentages are not. And he doesn't have the body for the Big 10. Plus they are going to need impact guys that are ready to go right now.

Could a valley school try to scoop him up? Probably... Does he even want to leave?? who knows!!?

Matt and T are interesting because normally JUCO sophomores have 2 years and they are out but the covid years throw a new wrinkle into that...

Brady could be done or he could play another year... with everything going on with his dad, who knows what he decides to do.

Do reid and jahni want to stay and be 9-10 on the roster?? Could they go D2 and play??

I can see 2-3 guys leaving because that is pretty normal attrition that happens to every team... regardless of who that is.. UND probably needs to get JUCO or 4 year transfers to fill that void.

I believe they still have 1 open scholly anyways so it will be interesting to see what they do with that.. I assume it's a 4/5 with some athleticism but who knows.

Long post, but I'm bored at work.. not sure if any of it makes sense

Yes, Treysen has developed nicely in his ability to drive and create for himself and others off the dribble as the season went on. Glad to see that and will only get better over the years to come! I like Omot playing the majority of his minutes at the 3. He can play some 4 when subs come in, but the majority of his minutes should be at the 3.

Having Treysen at 6'7" and Omot at 6'8" as your two wing players is a huge luxury that not many teams in the Summit have. Especially with both of them being highly skilled and athletic. We need to use that to our advantage.

If BJ is playing the 3 then you can't have a big bruiser 4 man that can't shoot. BJ needs space.. the more people on the floor that can shoot around him makes a big big difference... that's why he will probably play more 4 than 3 going forward.. even though position numbers anymore are obsolete other than maybe the 1 and the 5. 2,3,4 are pretty interchangeable.

The behavior on this board is so odd. On the road, the team damn near beat the best team in Summit League history, and all people want to talk about is the number of posts people made in a forum because they were at the women’s game supporting the SAME university we are all rooting for. Odd behavior

Also odd behavior that, specifically you two, can go at everyone on the topic of the head coach, but when a little !@#$ gets thrown your way you can’t handle it. Odd behavior.

  11. Would’ve been interesting to see what OT would’ve looked like as UND had all the momentum…

if this team can string together any sort of defensive stops, they have a chance to be super dangerous with their ability to shoot.

Good fight back, can’t get down 20 on the road vs #1 team in the league. Showing signs of growth… hopefully they still have some juice and purpose on Saturday… that’s a BIG one if they can get it.
