  1. Harrah's owns the Imperial Palace, as well as Caesar's Palace, Bally's, Flamingo Hilton, the Paris, Barbary Coast, etc... (you get the idea). Having said that, the IP may be your best bet to watch the Sioux/Gophers game. The IP sports book is usually pretty quiet at night, I'd ask someone in the horse racing area and they might put the game up on a screen.
  2. Gosh, since the Gophers pay an "appearance fee" to IAA schools to go to Mpls, I guess they can choose to schedule whoever they want to schedule. The Sioux can easily find another DI opponent. No big deal, really.
  3. I was disappointed when the Big Sky didn't let the Bison in. I'd pony up for Bison season tix if they were in the Big Sky. Once UND goes up a level, NDSU would have a better travel partner. Perhaps the Big Sky will change their minds at that point. It's too bad UND & NDSU didn't go IAA at the same time...
  4. Hey, all's fair! Go nuts with the Holy Cross jerseys. I bought a bunch of Grand Valley State gear a month ago. They're my favorite DII football team.
  5. Oh boy, I wouldn't. Lammy will be all right. The Sioux will be just fine, I wouldn't worry about them just yet. I'm not a Sioux fan either, just trying to be objective. The Sioux have quite a bit of talent and should finish in the top 1/2 of the WCHA. In the playoffs, anything can happen.
  6. Um....ever hear of the PairWise system?
  7. Pairwise Rankings Rk Team PWR RPI Comparisons Won 1t Colorado College (CC) 26 .5957* 1t Denver (DU) 26 .5916* 1t Boston College (BC) 26 .5885 4t Minnesota (Mn) 23 .5680 4t Cornell (Cr) 23 .5882* Minnesota is tied for fourth in the Pairwise and wins the individual comparison with Cornell. So I guess a #1 seed isn't really a joke.
  8. Hopefully you have a good editor, Mr. "Pseudo-reporter."
