After the last five minutes last night you have to feel good about tonight. CC in a tough spot.....winless at home, their players have to be thinking negative thoughts. UND 5 CC 0

Watched the replay of both goals again. First no chance, guy right there, team running around the defensive end. The second goal is a toss up, and really up for discussion. Matej will tell you he should have stopped it because he saw it all the way and where the shot came from on the ice. I give the CC guy credit for teeing one up and blasting it home. To me that's a snipe. Matej could have been out further, but I don't think he has a good enough glove to snag that regardless. Bottom line, team first......Bob Anderson can start for all I care. Just stop the puck and give the team a chance to win. The guy who gives the team the best chance needs to be the goalie.

I agree. Nothing Matej could have done on first goal. Second goal was a bomb. There are times as a goalie when you're in the perfect spot, out of the paint, on the angle and the puck just beats you, like when a baseball player hits a great pitch out of the stadium....you tip your cap. I hope Tomek getting pulled was more of a wakeup to the group than a wakeup you're playing bad Matej.

Completely agree about Gornall and Smith being in the lineup. When Jost comes back those two need to stay in the lineup. My player of the game was Peski.....wow has he come a long long ways.

Used to pencil them in to a top four finish at state every season, weird not seeing them in the top four of the EDC.

No Jost means a guy like Wilkie has got to step up. No more snake bit excuses. He will likely get the chance to be in the top six forwards, so he needs to get on the score sheet. Tucker Poolman likely to see 30 plus minutes each night. Big weekend for the three Freshman defensemen as well.

Question for those with knowledge of Grafton/PR: What is going wrong up in Spoiler country? Numbers? Best athletes not playing hockey? Looks like they won't be at state again.

It's got to be playoff mentality from here on out. Don't want to throw too much on the table in January, but the boys need to find that extra gear this weekend and get at least 4 points. (Cue anything less than a sweep is unacceptable) The team was really good the last time they played on the Olympic sheet, and it would not surprise me in the least bit if Friday's game is a 7-1 affair. Fair grades for the d corps. I'm worried sick about next year. Losing Ausmus won't hurt, but losing Tucker after this year and having Colton Poolman return as your best lockdown defenseman of a group that has been below average as a whole? Ohh boy. Who do they have coming in? Bast and Kierstad?
