I really wouldn't have thought anything was odd about what happened if it was just the slapshot and knocking the net off post game, maybe a lot of frustration. But the stick placement in the middle of the ice is kinda the same as Rulan Garner placing his wrestling shoes on the wrestling mat. Hopefully Tyler finds some happiness.

If you get the Fox Sports Package, you get all the regional Fox Sports Channels plus ESPNU. I watched a lot of hockey this weekend. What I missed was replayed til 2am.

Dartmouth gets the final spot beating Wisconsin 4-3. I would have liked to see the three WCHA teams make the Frozen Four, but what can you do? It's Minnesota's tournament to lose. Dartmouth vs. Minnesota and St. Lawrence vs. Harvard it is.
-
Harvard just beat Mercyhurst 5-4 in triple OT earning a spot at the big dance. 113 minutes of hockey, 143 shots on goal. And they say women's hockey is boring. I would have loved to have been at that game.
-
That wouldn't be too hard.
-
Maybe they learned their freaking lesson. Doesn't do Bina a whole lot of good right now.
-
Spirko made that look easy.
-
Pretty fitting that they just referred to the Gopher Mascott's ass as it's best side......

GGGGGOOOOOAAAAALLLLL Nice angle Quinn!
-
I hate the Gophers. UND should go out playing to win, like it's the late game tonight. It would help to beat the Gophers before the NCAA's start.
-
#1 Minnesota is in, they beat Providence last night 6-1. St. Lawrence beat #2 UMD in OT 3-2. The other two teams will be decided today: Dartmouth and Wisconsin face off tonight, and Harvard and Mercyhurst play this afternoon.

Ace and Gary must be proud that they learned how to pronounce Gauthier they've said it at least 200 times and a couple times they just said it. Idiots. And who is Matt Schneider? LMFAO
-
"That's a hook, ya, you betcha" Only to be topped by an argument over the goal cam being a he or a she.
-
Anyone else have the TV on mute?
-
Just to add to how tough the WCHA is, the top three Patty Kazmaier Finalists were named today and all came from the league: Wendell, Darwitz and Ouellette.
-
IMHO checking should be brought into the women's game from U16 all the way up to the International level.
-
Use Ringster. I have an LGV6000 and it worked on there.....after I figured out that my phone was on silence all. LMFAO

Bump And the Sioux Women still get kudos for taking it to the Bulldogs.
-
I wanna watch three games, is that being selfish? Of course UND will some out on top.

They changed the start of the hockey game to 7:37 on Saturday. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=3703

Minnesota, Minn-Duluth and Wisconsin were 1,2, and 3 in the WCHA and the nation. I know you were being sarcastic, but they averaged over 850 per game this year, and were at #4 in attendance in the nation. Which is a little on the sad side, but a little more than 200 a game. Bottom line: I think we all need to remember that you need to stick by your team through thick and thin, it's just part of being a fan. There are better things coming in the future and we witnessed a glimmer of that on Thursday. Be patient, and when next season comes around, get out there and support your Sioux and quit bitching.

It's very easy for someone to look at a final record and say that a team had a bad year. It was their first year in the WCHA. The WCHA happens to be home to the number one (Minnesota), two (Minnesota-Duluth), and three (Wisconsin) teams in the nation at this moment. Not exactly a cake walk for anyone, let alone a team in it's first year in the league, and only their third year in existance. The Sioux lost to UMD 13-0 in 2002-2003. Yesterday the Bulldogs had to take them to OT to win. That is one hell of a turnaround in a very minimal amount of time. Losing 13-0 and losing 3-2 in OT "are two totally different things." Losing in overtime in your very first post season game to the number two team in the nation (and to a team that has won 3 DI titles to their credit) should earn you nothing but respect and that's exactly what these ladies should have right now. As far as Minnesota-Duluth refusing to shake hands.....if that's true, the Bulldogs are absolutely classless and I hope that the Gophers hand them their asses on a platter. And I HATE the Gophers. This team will be a force to be reckoned with, just give them a little more time. You can't be the best overnight. This team is still in it's infancy. The pride and success of the University of North Dakota and Grand Forks' hockey tradition will spill over to it's women's team. I see great things coming in the not so far off future, the Wooster sisters have a season under their belt and Amber Hasbargen is poised to have an incredible senior season, she's been brilliant over the last month. If we can keep the defense healthy, who knows what's in store next year..... GO SIOUX!!!

Took the family to the Ohio State game that we won in OT scoring two goals in what? 73-74 seconds. It was a great game, and a good opportunity for both my kids to see that women can play sports too...and a little bit of a tussle between Funk and some Ohio State player right in front of us. They do need to take the no checking rule out on all levels of women's hockey....from little girls all the way up to the international level. I play and we hit, it's part of the game...and the most fun part.

I thought we were screwed when Belmore tripped over his own feet and then threw the INT. Then he totally redeemed himself.....with an even bigger and better play on the fake and TD. He proved he can handle big time pressure today. I'm perfectly comfortable with either QB on the field.
