Brett Hextall just tweeted that the YouTube kid who does the Kurt Russell as Herb Brooks speech from "Miracle" just performed it for players in St. Paul. How cool is that?

I will be rockin' the black magic jersey as I have all year. I saw a picture of the WCHA team jersey display at the X and it's the Sioux black jersey that's framed there. Omen. Good omen. Wish Jim had a countdown to puck drop clock for the semifinal game. I know it's close now but it still feels like Thursday will never get here.

Frattin Q&A on Puck Daddy Blog
"Fighting Sioux head coach Scott Sandelin"? Huh? How long have I been asleep?

Thanks to my ticket angel--you know who you are--I will be there in sec. 110. Al Pearson says he may need two buses!
-
Will Al Pearson be having a bus?
I will already have tickets and lodging, but would love to jump a bus instead of drive myself. I would just have my buddies pick me up in whatever suburb he has the hotel lined up.
Yes, Al will most likely have a bus going. The fact that you already have tickets is a plus because he has not been able--yet--to lay hands on tickets for his passengers. He is working every possible angle. Call him and get on the list: 218-779-5740

Not actually. Jack Connolly and UMD play at the Frozen as well.
Oh, jeez. The Herald has it wrong & UMD fans won't let me hear the end of it. Many apologies for my trusting ignorance.
Here's what the Herald said:"Just as UND is the only top seed left standing, its best player is the only leading candidate for the Hobey Baker Award left playing."
If Duluth feels slighted because Connolly is a LEADING candidate, their argument is with the Herald, not me--now, anyway

Al Pearson's fan bus here, rolling back home after a tremendous weekend in Green Bay. If you have Frozen Four tickets to sell, please call Al Pearson at 218-779-5740. He will buy all you can dump.

official announcement from hobeybakeraward.com:
"The Hobey Hat Trick of three finalists will be announced on March 31, 2011 and the Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced Friday, April 8, 2011 from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., during the NCAA Frozen Four. The announcement will be aired live on ESPNU at 6:00 p.m. CT"
Matt Frattin is the last Hobey candidate standing. He takes a 15-game point streak to the X.

The voting has closed for fans at the Vote for Hobey site and the Pony Express has delivered! Matt Frattin won 49% of the fan vote. Miele was second with 12%.

Much excitement here in Green Bay among the Sioux faithful. Denver's in our way. Go over 'em, go around 'em, go through 'em. Just get past them and punch that ticket to St. Paul! Fight on, Sioux!

I went 0 for 4 yesterday. The one game I picked with my head (BC over CC), I got just as wrong as the ones I picked with my heart. On the bright side, I could go 4 for 6 today.

Schlossman just tweeted that one of the refs in the UNO v Michigan crew is named "Dumas" The French pronunciation was used until a few moments ago, I reckon

If he gets his TV /internet from comcast, then only on espn3.com, streamed. If dish or directv, he'd need the sports pak addons.
Thank you. I'll let him know
-
Sioux fan and brand new dad MafiaMan needs some info. He can't drag a wife, a newborn and 3 kids to a sports bar to watch the game tomorrow. Lives in Bloomington. How can he see the game from the comfort of his nursery/living room?

I get what The Ralph is trying to do...
and I see the "If" in the short excerpt in the article,
However, let's not look past the first game nor give your oponent any visual fuel
...our history hasn't been too good lately in the first round, so let's beat our first oponent and go from there!!
Go Sioux!
I am not overconfident, just confident enough that if the Sioux play their best, they will prevail over our first opponent. I don't think this can be construed as trash-talking or disrespect. Hasn't anyone here ever heard of the power of positive thinking?
-
This is rather assuming by UND...It'll be a blast though.
The official notice from the REA said viewing party is on "IF" the Sioux advance. "If" is not in my vocabulary so I sweetened their meaning just a bit.
-
Here are the details for the free viewing party the Ralph will host on Sunday when the Sioux advance, after beating RPI:

Al Pearson has a few more seats left on the bus to Green Bay. You need to call him right away if you want to make the trip to watch our Sioux beat RPI and W. MIchigan/Denver. $270 for transportation and tickets. Hotel extra. We leave from the Ralph at 8 a.m. tomorrow. His number is 218-779-5740.

YaneA, you are still king of the sign ideas!
Thanks, but it's QUEEN of the sign ideas!

I like how 61.5% have picked UMD to come out of the region, however I think that number might be inflated by the number of Sioux fans who want to see Yale fail!
Yale
Founded: 1701
Losted: 2011

I will be there, thanks to the Al Pearson travel agency.
-
If you are sitting on the fence re: Green Bay...That's a lousy vantage point for watching the Sioux win their regional! Instead, get on Al Pearson's bus, travel in style with fellow Sioux fans, and watch the team live. Tix and transportation are $270. Bus leaves from the Ralph Friday morning at 8 a.m., returns Monday.
-
Do you know the costs associated with this bus?
I'm sorry I don't but Al could give you all details. He was on the radio earlier and made his cell number available for inquiries. It's 218-779-5740
-
FYI. Al Pearson will be taking Sioux fans to the regional in Green Bay. He's planning to leave Friday morning and return on Monday, as the Sioux WILL be playing both games there and emerging as the region's champ.
