I don’t have a problem with us rewarding the guy who kept the recruiting class intact. Especially if Schmidt surrounds him with a solid offensive staff.

To be fair, it isn’t up against the strongest competition.

It depends on how a coach does things and what they inherit. Troy Taylor turned around Sac State instantly, but it took a few years for Jay Hill to turnaround Weber. Both great coaches though.

The lack of an announcement could point to Bolte or Woodley being the guy. They don’t want a distraction a day or two before their playoff games.

I’ll say Bolte is the guy I would like to see hired.

I like Caruso, but he has really struggled with poor QB play in the D1 era. Hasn’t yet had 2,000 yards passing in four years. For context, Romfo got over 2,000 this year.
